Embrace the Learning: NE10 Releases Scholar-Athlete of the Year Nominees

Biezen, George

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

28 Student-Athletes Nominated by Institutions.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference announced on Friday the list of 28 student-athletes that have been nominated for 2019-20 Male and Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards.

The normal eligibility requirements for nomination are that a student-athlete must be in their final year of athletic eligibility, graduating with a degree in May (unless in a master's program), must be enrolled in a full-time course load and must have a minimum final cumulative grade point average of 3.30.

Given the COVID-19 pandemic cutting the spring season short and extending another year of athletic eligibility to those affected student-athletes, seniors in the current 2019-20 year are eligible for the Scholar-Athlete awards – even if they plan to return for their final year of eligibility in 2021 – but are only eligible to be nominated once.

The two winners are set to be announced on Wednesday, May 27, via the NE10's social media channels.
