NCAA RELEASE FOR HOSTING SITES

Adelphi, Franklin Pierce, Saint Anselm and Stonehill Earn Right to Host.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference is thrilled to announce that four of its institutions – Adelphi, Franklin Pierce, Saint Anselm and Stonehill – have been awarded hosting rights by the NCAA for future cross country, field hockey and women's lacrosse championships, as announced on Wednesday afternoon.

The NCAA announcement comes as part of the largest hosting site announcement ever, spanning 86 championships across a four-year cycle. In the process, there were 450 selections of host sites for preliminary rounds and finals sites of predetermined championships in Divisions I, II and III, with most held from 2022-23 to 2025-26.

  • Adelphi will host the 2022 Men's and Women's Cross Country Regionals at Bethpage State Park in Bethpage, N.Y. The Panthers also hosted the event back in 2018.
  • Franklin Pierce earned the hosting rights to the 2023 and 2025 Men's and Women's Cross Country Regionals at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds in Hopkinton, N.H.
  • Saint Anselm will host the semifinals and championship game of the 2023 Field Hockey Championship at Grappone Stadium in Manchester, N.H. It will be the Hawks' first time hosting an NCAA championship.
  • Stonehill College, in conjunction with Kraft Sports & Entertainment, Gillette Stadium, Harvard University and Babson College, has been selected as a co-host for the 2025 & 2026 NCAA Division I, II and III Championships in men's and women's lacrosse.

The NCAA received more than 3,000 bid submissions from member schools, conferences, sport commissions and cities vying to host predetermined rounds for 86 of the NCAA's 90 championships. The sites were selected by the respective NCAA sports committees and approved by the divisional competition oversight and championships committees.

"The response of our membership, host cities and local organizing committees to this process was tremendous," said Joni Comstock, NCAA senior vice president of championships. "Thanks to their commitment, we are excited that our student-athletes will play in some of the top locations and venues in the United States."
