This year the NCAA and the NE10, in partnership with the Minority Opportunities and Interests Committee (MOIC) and Student-Athlete Advisory Committees (SAACs), are excited share the stories of our amazing student-athletes as part of this year's Diversity & Inclusion Campaign. Day 2 focuses on "I've Got Your Back," showcasing student-athletes supporting each other to foster inclusive environments.

Day 2 from Men?s Lacrosse: ?As members of the men's lacrosse team we are extremely blessed to be able to strap up and compete with 43 of our brothers everyday when we step out on the field. Despite being the second largest team on campus, we work hard to ensure every single team member is welcomed into our family year in and year out. Ensuring every member no matter what race, age, religion or backround is supported by their teammates is paramount to our success on and off the field. There may only be 10 guys playing at one time on the field but it takes all 43 to be completely bought in on the practice field, sidelines and in the locker room to ensure we are prepared mentally and physically for anything life may throw at us. When the going gets tough, and one may need someone to lean on there will always be a host of guys willing to step up and support each other. The road to success is only possible when all 43 are completely dedicated to the journey and feel as though they are a part of something bigger than themselves, that is why it is so important that we support and include every member on our team as family.?

ABOUT THE NE10
Beginning its 40th anniversary season, the NE10 is an association of 14 diverse institutions serving student-athletes across 24 NCAA Division II sports. Together we build brilliant futures by embracing the journey of every student-athlete. 

Each year, 4,500 of those student-athletes compete in conference championships in 24 sports, making the NE10 the largest DII conference in the country in terms of sport sponsorship. Leading the way in the classroom, on the field and within the community, the NE10 is proud of its comprehensive program and the experience it provides student-athletes.
