FOOTBALL

Bentley at New Haven: Nov. 6 – 1:00 p.m. (Live StatsVideo)

The NE10 Football Championship will be on the line Saturday when No. 9 Bentley visits No. 24 New Haven at Dellacamera Stadium. Both teams are currently unbeaten in conference play, and with just two games remaining in the regular season, the winner will clinch the NE10 regular season title. The Falcons (8-0, 6-0 NE10) look to win their second-straight league championship, while the Chargers (7-1, 6-0 NE10) seek their first title since 2012.

Bentley is ranked in the top-10 of the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Poll for the first time in program history, securing eight victories this season – extending their overall winning streak to 13 games, dating back to October of 2019. New Haven's only loss this season came to No. 14 Bowie State in the second week of the season.

Saturday's matchup will be a battle between the NE10's top scoring offense - Bentley at 32.3 points per game - and top scoring defense – New Haven is allowing only 14.4 points per contest.

FIELD HOCKEY

No. 9 Adelphi at No. 3 Assumption: Nov. 7 – 12:00 p.m. (Live Stats - Video)

Top seeded Assumption hosts the NE10 Championship as each program will be looking for its first NE10 Tournament Championship. The two teams met back on Sept. 28 at Adelphi and the Greyhounds earned a 2-1 victory.  The Panthers held a 13-12 shot advantage but Assumption scored both of its goals in the opening three minutes to take the early lead and then held off Adelphi the rest of the way.

The Panthers are making their first NE10 Championship game appearance and have won 11 of their past 12 games. Over that span they've scored at least six goals seven times and this season have three players with at least ten goals. NE10 Player of the Year Kaylee Deleva leads the team with 17 goals and three assists while Giana McKeough is second on the team with 14 goals and eight assists.

Assumption fought back from a 1-0 deficit in the NE10 Semifinals to earn a 2-1 win and advance to the program's third NE10 Championship game appearance in the last six years. The Greyhounds have won 19 straight games after an opening day overtime loss to West Chester. They have only allowed 13 goals all season long while averaging 3.4 goals per game. Deirdre Burchill and Mia Salah each have 14 goals to lead the Greyhound offense.
