NE10 Recognizes 90 Fall Student-Athletes on Academic All-Conference Teams

MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference released its Academic All-Conference teams for the 2021 fall season on Thursday afternoon, as the league recognized 90 outstanding student-athletes from seven sports for their academic and athletic excellence.

To be eligible for selection to NE10 Academic All-Conference teams, a student-athlete must have met or exceeded the following minimum requirements:

  • Started in at least half or played in at least two-thirds of the team's competitions as a significant contributor.
  • Achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) or better on a 4.0 scale.

Each NE10 institution, as well as two associate members of the Conference, had at least one student-athlete named to the Academic All-Conference teams from this past fall – which was the first complete fall sports season for the league since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Stonehill had a league-best 12 selections across all countable fall sports (golf and tennis are recognized in the spring), while American International was second with 10 student-athletes recognized. Bentley, Franklin Pierce and Southern Connecticut all tied for third with eight honorees apiece.

Field hockey led all fall sports with 24 student-athletes named to its Academic All-Conference Team, while women's soccer had 15 and volleyball had 13. Football and men's soccer each had 11 honorees, while both men's and women's cross country had eight selections.

Four student-athletes – Adelphi's Jackie Brown (field hockey), Bentley's Andrew Brazicki (football), Saint Rose's Marika Laurendeau (women's soccer) and Southern Connecticut's Christopher LeBeau (men's cross country) – were named Academic All-Conference for the third time in their collegiate careers. Among the 90 student-athletes recognized, 17 of them were also honored in 2019.

Additionally, three NE10 Player of the Year award winners are included on the Academic All-Conference teams: American International's Andrea Serra-Rosa (volleyball), Franklin Pierce's Carlos Ferrando Felis (men's soccer) and Southern New Hampshire's Allyson Patterson (women's soccer).
