Bentley and New Haven Each with Two Honorees.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference had five baseball players and three softball players selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 1 Team, as announced this week. Six different NE10 institutions were represented among the eight student-athletes.

The 2021-22 Academic All-District Baseball and Softball Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. First Team Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot, with final results announced in June.

Bentley and New Haven each secured multiple selections. Bentley was represented in both sports, as Kaileen Cain (softball) and Liam Sears (baseball) earned Academic All-District honors. New Haven had a pair of baseball players – Andrew Bianco and Tyler Wells – recognized for their outstanding work.

Joining Cain on the softball list was Adelphi's Claire Fon – the NE10 and D2CCA East Region Pitcher of the Year – as well as Franklin Pierce's Gina Hinckley. For baseball, Le Moyne's Ty Syta – the NE10 Elite 24 Award winner – and Stonehill's Conor Kiely were also honored.

The CoSIDA Academic All-District teams are divided into geographic districts across the United States and Canada. The NE10 falls into District I, which it shares with the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) and East Coast Conference (ECC).
