66% of NE10 Student-Athletes Named to 2022 Spring Academic Honor Roll

MANSFIELD, Mass. – For the fifth-straight semester, the Northeast-10 Conference had at least 65-percent of its overall student-athlete body achieve Academic Honor Roll status from this past spring, as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.  

Among its 14 member and four associate member institutions, the Conference recognized 3,925 student-athletes (66%) for their academic achievements. The Academic Honor Roll (AHR) acknowledges the commitment of NE10 student-athletes to excel in the classroom with three designations: Academic Excellence (4.0 GPA), Academic Distinction (3.50-3.99 GPA) and Academic Honors (3.00-3.49).

13 of 14 NE10 full member institutions had at least 55-percent of their student-athletes earn AHR status. Six institutions reached over 70-percent, while 11 had at least 60-percent of its student-athletes recognized.

Adelphi had a league-high 84-percent of its student-athletes named to the Academic Honor Roll, while Bentley ranked second with 82-percent and Pace was third with 78-percent. Le Moyne (74-percent) and Southern New Hampshire (71-percent) rounded-out the top five.

Among all 3,925 student-athletes honored, there were 533 that achieved Academic Excellence status by earning a perfect 4.0 grade-point average (GPA) in the fall semester. Franklin Pierce led all institutions with 59 student-athletes that earned a 4.0 GPA.

Bentley had the highest number of total honorees with 407, while Assumption was second (340) and Adelphi was third (337). The sport of football had a league-best 418 student-athletes honored, while women's lacrosse led all female sports with 317.

The NE10 had 10 sports produce 200 or more student-athletes with a minimum 3.0 GPA in the spring semester. Nine institutions saw increases in their percentage of honorees compared to the 2021 fall semester – as well as two associate members – while nine of 24 sports saw a boost in their total numbers.
