Nine Programs and 25 Players Honored.
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Northeast-10 Conference men's and women's basketball programs earned academic recognition from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) in recent weeks, as nine programs and 25 student-athletes were honored for their outstanding work in the classroom.
Four men's basketball programs – Adelphi, Bentley, Pace and Stonehill – earned the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award after earning a team GPA of 3.0 or higher during the 2021-22 academic year. Additionally, 25 players from these four schools were named to the NABC Honors Court, which recognizes junior, senior and graduate student players who finished the year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. Adelphi led all teams with nine selections.
On the women's side, two programs were selected to the WBCA Academic Top 25 in Division II, which honors the teams across the nation that carry the highest combined GPAs of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. Pace, the NCAA East Region champion, finished at No. 10 to lead all NE10 teams, while Adelphi came in at No. 16. Southern New Hampshire, Stonehill and Bentley were Special Mentions.
Adelphi men's basketball and Pace women's basketball were also winners of the NE10 Team Academic Excellence Award, as announced on July 11.
Stonehill, which recently joined the Division I Northeast Conference, was an NE10 member during the 2021-22 academic year.
