Eight NE10 Soccer Programs Earn a Spot in the NCAA Tournament

Franklin Pierce Men and Saint Rose Women Earn Top Seeds for the Second and Third Straight Seasons.


MANSFIELD, Mass. – The NCAA revealed its selections to the Division II Men's & Women's Soccer Championships on Monday night and eight Northeast-10 programs were selected to their respective fields. Five women's programs and three men's programs were selected, with action getting underway on Thursday.

On the men's side, Franklin Pierce (20-0-1) who was just crowned NE10 Champions over the weekend, earned the No. 1 seed in Super Region I for the second-straight season, along with a first-round bye. The Ravens will host the winner of No. 8 Notre Dame (OH) (15-4-2) and No. 9 Saint Rose (9-4-4) at 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 12. Adelphi (8-4-6) was seeded tenth and will travel to Charleston, WV to the second host site and play No. 7 Queens (NY) (13-6) on Thursday, November 10 at 3 p.m.

For the women, Saint Rose (17-0-3), who just won the progam's third-consecutive NE10 Championship Sunday afternoon, was placed atop the East Region for the third-straight season. The Golden Knights earned hosting rights and will face No. 8 Jefferson (11-6-1) in the first round in Albany, N.Y. this Friday, November 11 at 1 p.m. Also playing in Albany will be No. 5 Adelphi (12-5-2) against the recent ECC Champions, Mercy (12-5-2) at 10 a.m.

The second host site for the first round is Franklin Pierce (14-3-2) who is ranked second in the bracket. The Ravens will play No. 7 Southern New Hampshire at 6 p.m., following the match-up between No. 3 Bridgeport and No. 6 Saint Anselm.  

It is the sixth-straight season that the NE10 has had at least three women's soccer programs in the NCAA Championship field.
