Women's Tennis Falls to Bentley, 4-3

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Saint Anselm College women's tennis team fell to Bentley University on Sunday by a final score of 4-3.

  • The Hawks continued their spring season on Saturday, April 20 against Regis College (Mass.) in Weston, Mass. with a 4:00 p.m. start time.   
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • In doubles action, Saint Anselm fell behind after suffering a pair of losses in the No. 2 and No. 3 spots. Sophomore Irene Garbo (Sardinia, Italy) and sophomore Camila Heredia Osante (Oaxaca, Mexico) picked up the lone doubles win after defeating the Falcons No. 1 tandem by a final score of 6-3.
  • Garbo secured the win in the No. 1 singles in two sets as sophomore Julie Börschig (Stuttgart, Germany) won by default in the No. 2 singles for the Hawks.
  • Junior Olivia Parzick (Bow, N.H.) also secured a single victory against Libby Keefe in the No. 4 spot, but Saint Anselm dropped a pair of matches in the No. 3 and No. 6 spots to seal the 4-3 win for Bentley.
