KEY MOMENTS - GAME 1

  • The contest was scoreless into the bottom of the third inning when the Penmen bats warmed up to strike four times. RBI doubles from redshirt-freshman Christian Mercedes and Chavez started it before Mulcay delivered the big blow with a two-run homer to center that made it 4-0.
  • Mulcay did it again in the fourth, stroking a two-run blast the opposite way to left-center to extend the SNHU advantage to 6-0.
  • Four more in the eighth broke it open, as a Goldstein two-run shot and RBI singles from redshirt-junior Sam Henrie and LaRocca brought the score to an even 10-0.

KEY MOMENTS - GAME 2

  • After Adelphi, which was playing as the home team, pushed across a run in the fifth on a wild pitch, Southern New Hampshire answered with a five-run sixth inning in which they clobbered three home runs. A solo bomb off the bat of LaRocca led off the frame, before two-run homers from Kennedy and Chavez made it a 7-1 game.
