NE10 Offensive Player of the Week
Connor Degenhardt, New Haven
Graduate Student | Quarterback | Westford, Mass.
In the NE10 opener vs AIC, Degenhardt completed 19-of-32 pass attempts for 247 yards and five touchdowns. He also collected 18 net yards on the ground, including a 22-yard run on a 4th down conversion. Degenhardt connected with four different players for the five touchdowns, with his tight end, Kevin Foelsch, converting a pair of his team-best seven receptions for six points. Overall, he relied on eight different receivers for the 19 completions.
NE10 Defensive Player of the Week
Nasier Givens, Pace
Senior | Defensive Lineman | Newark, N.J.
Givens led a dominant Setters' defense during their 27-7 win at Southern Connecticut State on Friday night. The graduate student racked up a pair of sacks, in addition to a team-high nine tackles and five tackles-for-loss. He also forced a pair of fumbles. Givens currently leads the entire NE10 in both tackles-for-loss and forced fumbles this season.
NE10 Special Teams Player of the Week
Terrell Ford, New Haven
Graduate Student | Wide Receiver | Tonawanda, N.Y.
Ford had a day in the return game, collecting 229 yards on five returns, including an 81-yard sprint to the house for the first TD return for the Chargers since the 2015 season. The 229 yards by Ford on special teams is also a school record for kickoff return yards with the previous best 171 yards in 1999 by Ketric Barnes against South Florida. In addition to his work in the return game, Ford also added a touchdown as one of his three catches that totaled 53 yards.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Nasir Robinson, Pace
Freshman | Running Back | Penns Grove, N.J.
Robinson piloted a highly successful rushing attack (220 total yards) for the Setters during their 27-7 win over SCSU last week. The New Jersey native piled up a team-high 83 yards on just 16 carries. Robinson is currently averaging 4.9 yards per attempt this season.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Ahmad Rabah, American Int'l (Gr., DL - Paterson, N.J.)
Rabah was a force for AIC against New Haven. He landed six tackles, including 2.5 sacks against the Chargers, while causing a pair of fumbles. One of the fumbles he forced was returned for an AIC touchdown that at the time gave the Yellow Jackets the lead.
Nate Larkins, Bentley (Sr., RB - Huntington, N.Y.)
In a 49-6 win over Post, Larkins rushed for 101 yards and two TD on 12 carries, and also caught two passes for 19 yards. It was the fourth career 100-yard rushing game for the NE10 co-leader in scoring (30 points). Larkins, who exited the game with about six minutes still to play in the third quarter, had TD runs of 1 and 35 yards.
Devon Williams, New Haven (Jr., DB - Fall River, Mass.)
Williams finished the NE10 opener vs AIC with six tackles and one of four interceptions by the Chargers defensive unit. Three of his six tackles were solo stops, while his interception came at the end of the third quarter.
Patrick Carroll, Saint Anselm (So., K - Stafford, Va.)
Carroll booted a pair of 40-plus yard field goals on Saturday in his team's convincing 27-0 victory over Franklin Pierce. The first field goal of the day was from 41 yards and his second booming blast of the day was from 40 yards, sending the Hawks into halftime with an 18-0 advantage.
Drew Willoughby, Saint Anselm (Jr., QB - Austin, Texas)
Willoughby was 28-for-40 in the game against Franklin Pierce, throwing for 230 yards and three touchdowns. Three student-athletes logged a touchdown reception and eight Hawks caught passes from Willoughby, who is now tied for the NCAA Division II lead in touchdowns this season with 12 to his credit.
Jordan Davis, So. Connecticut (So., RB - Wallingford, Conn.)
Davis totaled five carries for 82 yards, including a 71-yard touchdown run for the Owls' lone score of the game against Pace. Davis' 71-yard touchdown run was the longest in the NE10 this season and the longest TD run at SCSU since Eli Parks ran for 73 yards in 2017.
