SNHU’s Kate Pigsley Elected to Second Term on National SAAC E-Board

Pigsley to Serve as Internal Operations Coordinator.


MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference is proud to announce that for the second consecutive year, Southern New Hampshire field hockey player Kate Pigsley (No. 44 in photo above) has been elected to serve on the Division II Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Executive Board as internal operations coordinator.

Pigsley, a senior goalkeeper for the Penmen, was re-elected during the DII SAAC meeting last week during the NCAA Convention. At the meeting, officers were selected for the DII SAAC Executive Board and as Management Council representatives. Student-athletes elected to either position will serve a one-year term.

The duties of an internal operations coordinator are the following:

  • Serve as chair of the nominations subcommittee; responsible for scheduling and leading the conference calls.
  • Oversee the orientation process of new committee members, assisting with assigning mentors.
  • Assist with preparation of the SAAC agenda for the four in-person meetings and annual legislation teleconference call.
  • Participate on executive subcommittee teleconference calls.
  • Serve as de facto Joint SAAC rep maintaining open lines of communication with the issues pertaining to Division II amongst all three divisional SAACs.
  • Ensure all Year End Reports are submitted on time.
  • Fill in for the vice-chair as needed.

Pigsley is a native of East Kingston, N.H., a sports management major and a seven-time honoree on the NE10 Academic Honor Roll. She is an officer in the SNHU SAAC and serves as the NE10's representative in the DII SAAC.
