Saint Anselm Claims Top Seed in NE10 Field Hockey Championship

FIELD HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL

Hawks Earn Top Seed in Tiebreaker.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Assumption Greyhounds and Saint Anselm Hawks earned a share of the Northeast-10 Regular Season Title, but head-to-head the Hawks earned the top seed in the upcoming Field Hockey Championship, as announced by the league on Saturday evening.

The Hawks (13-5, 11-2 NE10) wrapped up the regular season with a 3-0 victory over New Haven on Saturday afternoon and have won eight-straight contests heading into the conference tournament. They finished even with the Greyhounds (14-4, 11-2 NE10), but the Hawks claimed the regular season matchup between the two teams to earn the No. 1 seed in the tournament, and the Greyhounds earned the No. 2 seed as a result.

Bentley and Adelphi both ended with a 9-4 conference mark, but Bentley has earned the No. 3 seed as they defeated Adelphi earlier in the season - the Panthers will enter at No 4.
