Malloy, Lahey Lead Regional Awards.
MANSFIELD, Mass. - The Assumption coaching staff and Saint Anselm's Maggie Malloy were named the National Field Hockey Coaches Association East Region Coaching Staff and Player of the Year.
Head coach Annie Lahey and her staff earn the honor for the second consecutive season after a 15-6 overall record and second consecutive NCAA Semifinal appearance.
Lahey and the Greyhounds worked in the postseason to help Assumption host and win its first-ever NCAA Tournament game.
Malloy, the First Team All-American and All-Conference selection and the NE10 Player of the Year, is the first Saint Anselm player to earn the honor.
This year, Malloy led the NE10 with 19 goals with seven assists for 45 points. She set a new program record with her stat line, and finished the season in the top six in Division II in points, goals and assists per game.
