NE10 Player of the Week

Elijah Lewis, Adelphi
Freshman | Forward | Watchung, N.J.

In a 3-0 week for Adelphi, Lewis proved to be the standout, accounting for a team-leading 23 points per game, while adding 6.0 rebounds per contest. For the week he shot 60 percent from the field, with 53 percent shooting from beyond the arc, while putting up near-perfect numbers from the free throw line at 20-for-23. Against Caldwell he was responsible for career-best numbers in points (30) with the help of four three-pointers and also added three blocks. In the win at Chestnut Hill, Lewis scored 13 points in just 17 minutes on the floor. In a win over Goldey-Beacom earlier in the week, he tallied 26 points on 8-of-11 shooting. 


NE10 Rookie of the Week

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Isiah Gaiter, Assumption (Jr., G - Meriden, Conn.)
Gaiter scored 14 points, and added ten rebounds in Assumption's game at No. 23 St. Thomas Aquinas.

Zach Laput, Bentley (Jr., G - Beacon Falls, Conn.)
Laput, the NE10 scoring leader, has 20 points, five rebounds and two assists as Bentley extended its winning streak to seven with an 88-63 win over Jefferson. He made seven of ten shots overall, one of two from three-point range and five of six free throws, and finished a +21. Laput is now averaging 21.6 points with a .566 field goal percentage.

Sean Trumper, Franklin Pierce (So., F - Ashford, United Kingdom)
In one contest this past week for the Ravens, Trumper led the offensive efforts with 18 points while shooting 5-of-14 from the floor, going a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line. On the defensive end, Trumper narrowly missed the double-double performance with nine total rebounds off the board, also adding in one steal through 29 minutes played.

Bryan Powell, Pace (Sr., F - Middletown, N.Y.)
Powell averaged 15.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game in a 3-0 week for Pace. He scored 19 points in a win over Daemen, while scoring 10 and grabbing seven rebounds in a win over nationally-ranked St. Thomas Aquinas.  

Tyler Arbuckle, Saint Anselm (Sr., G - Bristol, Conn.)
Against Jefferson on Saturday, Arbuckle exploded for 20 points, four assists and two blocks, scoring 12 in the second half. Arbuckle helped the Hawks shoot 64.3% from the floor, reaching at least that percentage for just the fifth time since the 2012-13 campaign. In the second half of play, Saint Anselm was 20-for-27 (74.1%) as three Hawks had nine or more points in the last 20 minutes alone. In a win over Bridgeport, Arbuckle scored another 20 points on 7-of-15 shooting with nine rebounds and five assists. He averaged 20.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists in a 2-0 week. 

Kasai Brown, Saint Michael's (Jr., F - Brooklyn, N.Y.)
Brown averaged 17.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals during a 2-0 week, adding a 15-for-18 effort on free throws. He tallied 19 points, seven rebounds, two steals and a block while shooting 6-of-10 overall, including 3-for-5 from three, in a 66-58 win at Mercy on Saturday. Brown totaled 15 points, 10 rebounds and two steals while hitting all 11 free throw tries in a 64-53 win at Queens on Monday.

Eric Fleming, Saint Rose (Jr., F - Burlington, N.J.)
Fleming averaged 18.5 points and 11.0 rebounds per game on 61.5 percent shooting (16-of-26) across a 1-1 week for Saint Rose, including a 25-point, 14-rebound double-double against nationally ranked St. Thomas Aquinas on Monday.

Marty Silvera, Southern Conn. St. (So., G - Worcester, Mass.)
Silvera led the Owls to a 2-0 mark for the week with wins against non-conference foes, Holy Family and Bloomfield. Silvera averaged a team-best 15.5 points as well as 4.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game. Against Holy Family in a 64-56 win on the road, Silvera had 10 points and two assists. In a 78-71 win at Bloomfield, Silvera posted a career-best 21 points with seven rebounds and seven assists as well as three steals. The Owls have won four-straight games with Silvera averaging 16.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and four assists per game in the stretch while shooting 25-47 (.531) from the floor and 10-18 (55.6%) from three-point range.

Jordan Brathwaite, SNHU (Jr., G - Meriden, Conn.)
Brathwaite posted 19 points (7-12 FG, 5-10 3-FG), seven rebounds and two assists in Saturday's 68-62 triumph over Goldey-Beacom.
