NE10 Player of the Week

Tyler Arbuckle, Saint Anselm
Senior | Guard | Bristol, Conn.

Against nationally-ranked Saint Thomas Aquinas on Saturday in a huge 81-74 victory, Arbuckle scored 23 points with four rebounds to help the Hawks conclude a 2-0 week. Earlier against Le Moyne, Arbuckle scored 17 points with two rebounds and two assists. He finished with exactly 20 points per game, shooting 13-for-22 (.591) on the week from the floor.


NE10 Rookie of the Week

Dayshaun Walton, Adelphi
Freshman | Guard | Albany, N.Y.

In a 1-1 week for Adelphi, Walton was responsible for 16.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per contest, with a 71 percent clip at the free throw line. Walton knocked down a three-pointer that landed as the eventual game-winner against American International, where he also added 10 rebounds for his third double-double of the season. 


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Justice Ellison, American Int'l (So., G/F - Windsor, Conn.)
Ellison was AIC's top scorer in two games on the week, landing 14 in an overtime loss to Pace and then dropping 18 against the Adelphi Panthers. He shot 40.6 percent from the floor, including 50.0 percent from deep, and collected three assists and five rebounds per game as well.

Isiah Gaiter, Assumption (Jr., G - Meriden, Conn.)
Gaiter averaged 15.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.5 steals in three games on the week. At No. 14 Bentley, he poured in a new career-high 28 points, as the Greyhounds could not knock off the nationally-ranked Falcons (77-73). On Saturday, his double-double (12 points, ten rebounds) helped guide Assumption to a 76-58 win over No. 25/RV Pace.

Zach Laput, Bentley (Jr., G - Beacon Falls, Conn.)
During a 2-0 week that extended Bentley's winning streak to a dozen, Laput averaged 20 points, six rebounds and 4.5 assists while shooting 65 percent overall and making four of six three-pointers. He scored 21 on 9-of-14 shooting against Assumption and 19 on 8-of-12 shooting at St. Michael's. He also had ten rebounds and six assists against the Purple Knights.

Sean Bresnan, Franklin Pierce (Jr., F - Yonkers, N.Y.)
In a 2-0 week for the Ravens, Bresnan led the way with 31 points scored including a 23-point performance in their victory over Saint Rose on Saturday afternoon. In addition to shooting 12-of-23 (52.2%) from the floor, the Raven junior went a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line, and contributed 13 total rebounds, 4 assists and one steal.

Majur Majak, New Haven (Sr., C - Poughkeepsie, N.Y.)
Majak was a defensive force in the home win over Southern Connecticut, swatting a season-high nine shots as the Chargers picked up the home win against their crosstown rival. In a two-game week, Majak averaged 8.5 points, 12.5 rebounds and 4.5 blocks. He opened up the week shooting 5-of-6 to collect 11 points and grabbed seven boards on the road at SNHU. He then followed that up with six points, all on a perfect 6-of-6 at the free throw line, while pulling down 13 boards and collecting nine blocks against the Owls. 

Marc Dadika, Pace (Gr., F - Saddle Brook, N.J.)
In the win over AIC, Dadika had the best point-effort of his Pace career thus far with 24 points. The Saddle Brook, N.J. native was shooting 100 percent from the field until the extra periods. He finished the game 10-for-12 (.833) while adding a Setter career-best 13 rebounds for a double-double. Dadika, a usual starter, had suffered an injury during the Bentley game on Dec. 6, has been slowly building back up playing time. His 39 minutes of action was a season-best, and the most he has played since Bentley. He also added four blocks.

Darrel Yepdo, Saint Michael's (Fr., G - Dracut, Mass.)
Yepdo averaged 17.5 points on 52.4% shooting, including 5-for-7 (71.4%) from three, and an 8-for-10 free throw effort to go along with 2.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.0 assist in an 0-2 week. In an 85-70 loss at regionally-ranked Southern Connecticut on Tuesday, he posted 12 points (8x8 FT), three steals, one rebound and one assist in 15 minutes off the bench before totaling a career-high 23 points (9x15 FG, 5x6 3PT), four rebounds, two offensive boards, one assist and one steal in his first college career on Saturday during a 70-58 loss to No. 12 Bentley.

Ulyen Coleman, Southern Conn. St. (Sr., G - Brockton, Mass.)
In a 1-1 week, Coleman averaged a team-high 19.5 points, leading tghe Owls with 22 points against St. Michael's and 17 points against New Haven. Against Saint Michael's, Coleman connected on 4-of-8 from three-point range and also collected six assists in the Owls' win.

Jordan Brathwaite, Southern N.H. (So., F - Silver Spring, Md.)
Brathwaite posted 16.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game, while knocking down 80 percent (12-15) of his shots from the field, including 77.8 percent (7-9) from beyond the arc, during a 2-0 week for the Penmen, who have now won six-in-a-row. Brathwaite went off for a career-high 24 points (9-9 FG, 6-6 3-FG) on perfect shooting and grabbed four rebounds, as the Penmen took down first-place New Haven, 80-52, Tuesday. Brathwaite then notched eight points (3-6 FG, 1-3 3-FG, 1-4 FT), a season-high nine boards and three blocks in Saturday's 60-53 triumph at Le Moyne.
