NE10 Player of the Week

Matt Leritz, Bentley
Graduate Student | Forward | St. Louis, Mo.

In a 2-0 week for the 14th-ranked Falcons, Leritz averaged 19.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists while shooting 68 percent overall and making three of five three-pointers. In a battle for first in the conference, he had 19 points and six rebounds in a 77-71 victory over Saint Anselm. Leritz followed that effort with 20 points, on 8-of-11 shooting, and five boards in a road win against Southern Connecticut State.


NE10 Rookie of the Week

Dayshaun Walton, Adelphi
Freshman | Guard | Albany, N.Y.

Adelphi split this week against conference opponents, but Walton still managed to average 16.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game for the Panthers. In both contests he shot 50 percent for better from the field and added 2.5 assists per game as well. In the narrow loss to Saint Anselm, he neared a double-double with 20 points and eight rebounds, and also grabbed three steals.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Justice Ellison, American Int'l (So., G/F - Windsor, Conn.)
Ellison had a monster performance in AIC's win over Saint Michael's, collecting a double-double with 20 points and adding in 13 rebounds to lead the Yellow Jackets in both categories.

Isiah Gaiter, Assumption (Jr., Guard - Meriden, Conn.)
Gaiter recorded 21 points, while also adding four assists and eight rebounds at Franklin Pierce on Wednesday. This was his sixth 20+ performance on the year. 

Mohamed Traore, Franklin Pierce (So., G - Hyde Park, Mass.)
As the red hot Ravens continued to dominate with a 2-0 week, Traore totaled 36 points along with 17 rebounds, four assists and two steals. Those numbers were good for an 18 points-per-game average, as he shot 11-of-28 (39.3%) from the floor, including 7-of-18 (38.9%) from three-point range. In the Ravens' most recent matchup with New Haven, Traore ignited the offense with a season-high 22 points, 17 of which came in the second half, as well as a 5-of-10 (50.0%) day from behind the arc. 

Isaiah Salter, Le Moyne (Sr., G - Charlotte, N.C.)
Salter averaged 18.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals in Le Moyne's 2-0 week. He posted 10 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals in a 75-66 win at Pace on Tuesday. He registered a career high-tying 26 points, including 21 in the second half, three rebounds and three assists in a 74-71 come-from-behind victory at Saint Rose on Saturday.

Ty Perry, New Haven (Sr., F - Boston, Mass.)  
Perry led the Chargers last week, averaging 19.5 points across a pair of road games at Adelphi and Franklin Pierce. For the week, he shot 55.8 percent from the field, including 42% from beyond the three point arc. In the midweek game at Adelphi, Perry matched his career-high with 24 points, going 10-of-17 from the field, including four three pointers. He followed that up with 15 points, connecting on 6-of-12, at Franklin Pierce.

Miles Tention, Saint Anselm (Sr., G - Palo Alto, Calif.)
Playing all 80 minutes across two games, Tention posted 23.5 points per game and shot 51.6% from the field to help the Hawks. Making six of his 10 triples, he also contributed with seven total assist, four rebounds and a steal. Against nationally-ranked Bentley on Wednesday, he poured home 28 points against the Falcons and, at one point, helped his team overcome a 24-point deficit, tying the game late with a three-point basket before recording a 77-71 loss.

Jacob Duniver, Saint Michael's (So., F - Fredericksburg, Va.)
Duniver averaged 16.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.5 offensive boards while shooting 50.0% from the floor (11-for-22) and 50.0% from three (7-for-14) in a 1-1 week. In a 68-57 win at Saint Rose on Wednesday, he totaled 12 points (4x8 FG, 3x3 FT) and six rebounds before collecting a career-high 20 points (7x14 FG, 6x11 3PT), eight rebounds, three offensive rebounds and one steal in a 71-54 loss at AIC on Saturday.

Josh McGettigan, Saint Rose (Jr., F - Southbury, Conn.)
McGettigan shot 63.3 percent (19-of-30) from the floor while averaging 24.5 points and five rebounds per game this week for the Golden Knights.

Matt Becht, Southern N.H. (Jr., G - Vienna, Va.)
Becht averaged 15.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game, while shooting 52.6 percent (10-19) from the field, including 36.4 percent (4-11) from long distance, and 87.5 percent (7-8) from the stripe. Becht scored 17 points (7-13 FG, 3-7 3-FG), grabbed six rebounds and dished a pair of assists in a 65-64 win over Southern Connecticut on Tuesday, and then tallied 14 points (3-6 FG, 1-4 3-FG, 7-8 FG), six rebounds and two helpers in Saturday's 66-49 victory against Pace.
