NE10 Player of the Week

Matt Becht, Southern New Hampshire
Junior | Guard | Vienna, Va.

Becht averaged 28.0 points and 1.5 rebounds, while shooting 65.2 percent (15-23) from the field, including 58.8 percent (10-17) from behind the arc, and 94.1 percent (16-17) from the stripe during a 2-0 week of the Penmen. Becht went off for a season-high 34 points (9-14 FG, 6-11 3-FG, 10-10 FT) and three rebounds in an 81-76 victory at #7/11 Bentley and then added 22 points (6-9 FG, 4-6 3-FG, 6-7 FT) in Saturday's 77-71 triumph at Adelphi.


NE10 Rookie of the Week

Max Jusianiec, Saint Rose
Freshman | Guard | Alfred, N.Y.

Jusianiec tallied the highest scoring output by a Golden Knight since the 2013-14 season when he scored 39 points on 14-of-22 shooting in Wednesday's 72-67 win at New Haven. The freshman hit 8-of-14 from three and also tallied six rebounds, three assists, and a steal to go along with the career-high scoring effort.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Dayshaun Walton, Adelphi (Fr., G - Albany, N.Y.)
Despite an 0-2 week for Adelphi, Walton led the program with 27.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per contest. His most impressive game of the week was a career-high 38 point performance against Southern New Hampshire where he was responsible for 11-of-21 shooting from the field with a 14-for-14 finish at the free throw line. In addition to 38 points he pulled down 11 boards for his fourth double-double of the year. 

Isiah Gaiter, Assumption (Jr., G - Meriden, Conn.)
Gaiter averaged a double-double, 21.5 points, and 12.5 rebounds as the Greyhounds went 2-0 on the week. The point guard started the week with 22 points and a career-high 14 points in a 65-50 win against AIC. He followed that performance up with a 21-point outburst at Saint Michael's, where he helped Assumption overcome a 16-point deficit and record a 67-62 road win. Following his back-to-back double-doubles, Gaiter now ranks sixth in the conference with 15.2 points and fourth in rebounds with 7.8. 

Zach Laput, Bentley (Jr., G - Beacon Falls, Conn.)
In Bentley's only action of the week, the conference's leading scorer had 25 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals in a five-point loss to Southern New Hampshire. He made 9-of-17 field goal attempts, half of his eight attempts from deep and three of four free throws.

Brandon Kolek, Franklin Pierce (Sr., G - Cumberland, R.I.)
Kolek continued to put up solid numbers last week, leading his team in a closely contested 1-1 week after tallying 35 total points, along with 10 rebounds and eight assists across the two-game span. The senior averaged 17.5 points per game and shot 10-of-27 (37.0%) from the field, hitting 7-of-17 (41.2%) from distance, and a perfect 8-for-8 in free throws.

Xavier Wilson, Le Moyne (Sr., F - Spring Valley, N.Y.)
Wilson averaged 21.0 points on 68.0% shooting, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in Le Moyne's 2-0 week. He recorded a career-high 24 points on 10-of-13 shooting from the field, including 3-of-3 from three-point range, and four rebounds in an 88-82 win over Adelphi on Wednesday. He tallied 18 points, seven rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks in an 84-81 victory over Franklin Pierce on Saturday.

Quashawn Lane, New Haven (Sr., G - Trenton, N.J.)
Lane led New Haven in a 1-1 week, averaging 17.5 points while shooting 75 percent from the field on the week. He opened up with 21 points, shooting 8-of-10 from the field with a pair of three pointers and three points at the line, while adding six assists and a pair of steals against Saint Rose. He wrapped up the week with 14 points, going 4-of-6 from the field and 6-of-8 at the free throw line against AIC. 

Bryan Powell, Pace (Sr., F - Middletown, N.Y.)
Powell scored 24 points in road win at Saint Anselm, as part of a 2-0 week for Pace. He averaged 19.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game while shooting a remarkable 77.8% from the field (14-18) throughout the week. 

Ulyen Coleman, Southern Conn. St. (Sr., G - Brockton, Mass.)
In a 1-1 week, Coleman averaged 17.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists as well as 1.5 steals. Against Georgian Court, Coleman struck for 20 points, including 3-of-4 shooting from three-point range, with three rebounds, four assists and three steals. Against Pace, he finished with 15 points, six boards and four assists while hitting on 3-of-5 from three-point range. For the week, he finished 6-for-9 from long range.
