NE10 Player of the Week

Isiah Gaiter, Assumption
Junior | Guard | Meriden, Conn.

Gaiter was the catalysis for Assumption's 2-0 week, as he averaged 16.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 7.0 assists per game. In the Greyhounds' 76-72 win at Le Moyne, the point guard tallied 17 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists for his third-straight double-double. On Saturday, Gaiter recorded 15 points, six rebounds, and eight assists as Assumption recorded a 65-64 win against New Haven. The win against New Haven snapped a 10-game losing streak against the Chargers and it moved Assumption's NE10 winning streak to four games for the first time since 2012-13.

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Dayshaun Walton, Adelphi
Freshman | Guard | Albany, N.Y,

Walton continued his consistent scoring this week, helping Adelphi go 1-1 in the second to last week of the regular season. In a home win over top-ranked/#16 Bentley, he shot 75 percent from the field with a 9-12 stint at the free throw line to contribute 23 points alongside eight rebounds and a team-leading three steals. Despite a loss as So. Connecticut, he led the team in scoring with 15 points to average 19 points per contest this week. Over two games he also dished out five assists.

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Justice Ellison, American International (So., G/F - Windsor, Conn.)
Ellison was AIC's leading scorer on the week, with 15.5 points per game across a pair of performances. He shot 46.4 percent on the week and generated 5.0 rebounds per game while committing just one turnover in 57 minutes of play while running AIC's offense.

Matt Leritz, Bentley (Gr., F - St. Louis, Mo.)
In a 1-1 week for the nationally-ranked Falcons, Leritz averaged 17 points, 8.5 rebounds, one assist and one block while shooting .583 overall. His week featured a 25-point, 8-rebound, 3-assist, 2-block, 1-steal effort in a 72-56 win over Adelphi, a game in which he sank five of seven from downtown.

Mohamed Traore, Franklin Pierce (So., G - Hyde Park, Mass.)
As the Ravens went 0-2 this past week, Traore still put up a solid week on the floor for Franklin Pierce, scoring 30 total points while averaging 15.0 points per game, along with a combined 13 rebounds, four assists and one steal. From the field, Traore shot 12-of-30 (40.0%), including 4-of-11 (36.4) from three-point range, and 2-of-3 from the charity line. In their most recent matchup with Saint Anselm, Traore came up just shy of a double-double performance, scoring 14 points with nine defensive rebounds.

Xavier Wilson, Le Moyne (Sr., F - Spring Valley, N.Y.)
Wilson averaged 13.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.0 blocks and 2.0 assists in Le Moyne's 1-1 week. He had 11 points, 11 rebounds, three blocks and three assists in a 76-72 loss to Assumption on Tuesday. He followed with 15 points and four rebounds in a 75-66 win at American International on Saturday.

Quashawn Lane, New Haven (Sr., G - Trenton, N.J.)
Lane led the Chargers in a pair of games last week, averaging 14.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game. He opened the week with 12 points and five assists against Saint Michael's and wrapped things up on the road at Assumption with 17 points, shooting 5-of-12 from the field and a perfect 6-of-6 at the free throw line, while pulling down seven boards against the Greyhounds.

Tyler Arbuckle, Saint Anselm (Sr., G - Bristol, Conn.)
Arbuckle averaged 23.5 points per game for the Hawks, scoring 23 against American International before pouring home 24 on the road at Franklin Pierce. He was 7-for-14 from beyond the arc on the week and shot 54.8% from the floor in total, handing out eight assists (including six at home against AIC) with just two turnovers. He also posted three total blocks.

Zack Penn, Southern Conn. St. (Sr., F - New Hartford, Conn.)
Penn powered Southern Connecticut to a pair of wins against Saint Rose and Adelphi with back-to-back double-doubles. Penn has a double-double in his last three games dating back to last week. Against Saint Rose, Penn scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds while also blocking two shots. At home against Adelphi, Penn finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds as well as five assists and two steals. For the week, he averaged 16.5 points, 10.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists, with 1.5 blocks per game, out of the post.

Ethan Okwuosa, Southern N.H. (So., G - No. Haven, Conn.)
Okwuosa registered 19.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists per contest, while knocking down 56.5 percent (13-23) of his shots from the field, including 58.3 percent (7-12) from deep, and 83.3 (5-6) percent from the stripe, during a 2-0 week for the Penmen. Okwuosa netted a career-high 23 points (7-12 FG, 5-7 3-FG, 4-4 FT), grabbed eight rebounds and dished an assist in a 75-67 win at Franklin Pierce on Tuesday. He came back Saturday with 15 points (6-11 FG, 2-5 3-FG, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds and a pair of helpers in a 77-59 victory over Saint Rose.
