NE10 Player of the Week

Matt Conti, Southern New Hampshire
Senior | Walpole, Mass.

Conti led wire-to-wire to win the Penmen Fall Invitational on Tuesday at Derryfield Country Club. Conti fired a 67 and then a 68 in the first two rounds Monday, before closing with a 71 that gave him a 54-hole total of 4-under 206. Conti, who was the only golfer under par for the tournament, won by four strokes. He had a tourney-high 10 birdies and led the field in par-4 scoring (-5).


NE10 Rookie of the Week

Jack Pepin, Southern New Hampshire
Freshman | Plaistow, N.H.

Pepin submitted a 1-over 211 to tie for third at the 54-hole Penmen Fall Invitational at Derryfield Country Club. Pepin turned in scores of 70 and 73 in Monday's first two rounds and then posted the lowest round of the day Tuesday with a 68 that saw him climb toward the top of the leaderboard. Pepin was part of a group that collected a tournament-best 10 birdies and he also finished second in par-4 scoring (-3).


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Sean Magarian, Assumption (So. - Worcester, Mass.)
Magarian led Assumption at the Penmen Fall Invitational with a 10th place finish overall.He sat in ninth place after round one, shooting a 72, and 11th after round two, shooting a 73, before tying for 10th overall with a final score of 219.

Thomas Hickey, Franklin Pierce (So. - Moultonborough, N.H.)
Finished tied-15th in a 60-golfer field at SNHU's Penmen Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, with a 54-hole line of 74-73-77--221 (+14).

Johnny Gruninger, Le Moyne (Fr. - Syracuse, N.Y.)
Playing as an individual, he tied for sixth place at Southern New Hampshire's Penmen Fall Invitational with a three-over par 213. He opened with a 72, followed with an even-par 70 and then closed out the tournament with a one-over 71.

James Henry, Saint Anselm (Sr. - Reading, Mass.)
Henry carded a pair of one-under 69's in the two-round day one of the Penmen Fall Invitational. He posted a three-over 73 in the final round, finishing the event with 211 total strokes, just one-over par. The senior was tied for third individually at the event.
