13 NE10 Student-Athletes Earn USILA Preseason All-America Honors

MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Northeast-10 had 13 student-athletes from five different institutions named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Preseason All-American Teams, as announced by the USILA earlier this week. 

Adelphi led the NE10 with three USILA First-Team selections and had four student-athletes honored overall. Nicolas Racalbuto (A), John Arcidiacono (M) and Justin Napolitano (D) anchored the First Team while Sean McGovern (LSM) was named to the Second Team. 

Le Moyne had a pair of First-Team honors in Matt Hutchings (A) and Riley Smith (GK) while Hans Zimmer (M) was named to the Second Team and Nate Arnold (LSM) was Honorable Mention.

Pace's Daniel Lewis (D) was a First-Team selection while Anthony Caputo (M) earned Honorable Mention. Bentley's Connor Baughan (M) was a Second-Team honoree while Saint Anselm has a pair of Honorable Mention selections in Matt Ward (A) and Thomas Mapstone (LSM). 

All five teams, Adelphi, Le Moyne, Pace, Bentley and Saint Anselm, are ranked or receiving votes in the NCAA DII USILA Preseason Poll which was recently released.

Beginning its 40th anniversary season, the NE10 is an association of 14 diverse institutions serving student-athletes across 24 NCAA Division II sports. Together we build brilliant futures by embracing the journey of every student-athlete.  

Each year, 4,500 of those student-athletes compete in conference championships in 24 sports, making the NE10 the largest DII conference in the country in terms of sport sponsorship.
