Ravens Earn Second Consecutive NE10 Regular Season Title 


MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Franklin Pierce Ravens took down Adelphi 3-0 on the final day of the regular season to capture the top seed in the Northeast-10 Men's Soccer Championship for the second consecutive season, as announced by the conference on Tuesday night.

The Ravens went 10-0-1 in conference play (17-0-1 overall) and shutout their opponents on 15 occasions, 11 of which were NE10 teams. Additionally, they tallied a conference-leading 57 goals and allowed just three in their own net over the entirety of the season. Their lone draw of the season was a 0-0 scoreless game at Le Moyne back on Sept. 20. Franklin Pierce finished ahead of Southern Connecticut who placed second with an overall record of 6-3-2 (9-4-3 overall) after a 4-0 win on the road at Bentley on the last day of the regular season. 

Assumption, Saint Rose and Southern New Hampshire all finished their regular seasons with matching 5-3-3 conference records. Between Assumption, Saint Rose and Southern New Hampshire, Assumption earned the No. 3 seed based on a 2-0 record against both opponents. Saint Rose and Southern New Hampshire were both 0-1-1 and played to a tie in their regular season contest. When looking at results versus common opponents, both teams have the same record (5-3-3). When looking at results versus the highest seeded teams, both lost to Franklin Pierce and both beat Adelphi. SNHU eared the No. 4 seed based on a win against Southern Connecticut whereas Saint Rose and Southern Connecticut played to a tie. Adelphi (5-4-2 NE10) ranked fifth, follwed by Le Moyne (3-4-4 NE10) in seventh and Bentley (4-6-1 NE10) in eighth to round out the poll of competing teams.

The NE10 Championship final is scheduled for Saturday, November 5, at the highest remaining seed. All rounds of the Championship will be streamed live on NE10NOW.tv

Postseason admission in all rounds of NE10 fall championships will be $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and children. Current NE10 students, with valid ID, will be admitted free of charge.

* In the mini-conference between Assumption, Saint Rose & SNHU, Assumption earned the #3 seed based on a 2-0 record within the mini-conference. Saint Rose & SNHU were both 0-1-1 within the mini-conference and played to a tie in their regular season contest. When looking at results vs. common opponents, both teams have the same record (5-3-3). When looking at results vs. the highest seeded teams, both lost to Franklin Pierce and both beat Adelphi. SNHU eared the #4 seed based on a win vs. SCSU; Saint Rose played to a tie against SCSU.

** Le Moyne earned the #7 seed based on their head-to-head win over Bentley during the regular season.
