NE10 Player of the Week

Marko Jovanovic, Adelphi
Sophomore | Belgrade, Serbia

Jovanovic knocked off the reigning NE10 Player and Rookie of the Year, SNHU's Jonathan Berling, in straight sets at No. 1 singles, 7-5, 6-3. He also won 6-3 at No. 3 doubles to help the Panthers to their first win over SNHU since 2015.

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Mathis Billman, Saint Michael's
Freshman | Brandon, Miss.

Billman posted a 3-0 mark while helping the Purple Knights go 2-0 last week. Billman earned a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 5 singles during a 7-0 victory against Northern Vermont-Lyndon on Wednesday before nabbing two wins in a 4-3 victory over Franklin Pierce on Saturday night. After taking a 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles, he tied the match at 3-3 thanks to a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles during a match-clinching 3-0 run by the Purple Knights.

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Manuel Righi, Le Moyne College (Gr. - Bologna, Italy)
Righi went 5-1 in Le Moyne's 3-0 week, including 4-0 in two NE10 matches. He won at second singles against Daemen and Franklin Pierce and at the third spot against Assumption. He was victorious at second doubles against Franklin Pierce and Assumption.

Tristian Du Plessis, Saint Michael's (Jr. - Rustenburg, South Africa)
Du Plessis went 4-0 last week while helping the Purple Knights go 2-0. In a 7-0 win over Northern Vermont-Lyndon on Wednesday, he aided a 6-0 win at No. 3 doubles before taking a 6-0, 6-0 decision at No. 3 singles. During a 4-3 victory against Franklin Pierce on Saturday night, Du Plessis rallied for a 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles to spark a match-ending 3-0 run by the Purple Knights. He also sided for a 6-0 triumph at No. 1 doubles.

Jonathan Berling, SNHU (So. - Moss, Norway)
Berling went 3-4 last week, including 2-2 at No. 1 singles. Berling took care of Millsaps College's Trevor Vaccaro, 6-0-6-3, lost to 61st-ranked Alexis Geudy of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, 3-6, 3-6, and bounced back to take down Fordham University's Quinn Fender 6-3, 3-6, 6-3. He lost to Adelphi's Marko Jovanovic in straight sets in a conference match. At No. 1 doubles, Berling combined with Fernando Torres for a 6-4 triumph over Embry-Riddle's Geudy and Luke Paschal. They were defeated by Fordham's Fender and Nicholas Kanazirev, 6-3, as well as Adelphi's Hugo Munoz Reinoso and Gabriel Balestero, 6-2.
