Bentley Men & SCSU Women Lead Through Day Two of NE10 Championships

FRIDAY RESULTS

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut women extended their lead on the second day of competition, while the Owl men and Bentley men went back and forth all night during an intense second day of competition at the 2022 Swimming & Diving Championships on the campus of Southern Connecticut.

The Falcon men finished day two with a 3.5 point lead, 280-276.5, just edging out the Owls, while Le Moyne sits in third with 173.5 points and Adelphi is fourth with 121 points. On the women's side, the Owls pushed their lead to 433 points, far surpassing second place Bentley who has 295 points and Assumption in third with 277. 

Saint Rose's Colleen Quaglia took home gold in the 500 free with a time of 4:59.28 while Bentley's Andrew Matjucha won the men's side in 4:42.20. In the 200 IM, Jordan Nuzback claimed first, while Chandler Tucker earned an individual gold with his time of 1:49.30. It was a sweep for the Falcons in the 50 free, thanks to Kate Galvin (24.02) and Mark Zoda (20.80). 

SCSU earned a sweep in the 200 free relay to open competition on Friday, while Bentley took home gold in both the men's and women's 400 yard medley relays to conclude the night.
