Bentley Men Selected to Finish First at NE10 Championship.
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Ahead of the 2023 NE10 Swimming & Diving Championship, Bentley was selected to finish first by the league's head coaches, according to the Pre-Championship Poll released on Tuesday afternoon.
The Falcons were the 2022 runner-up after claiming back-to-back titles in 2019 and 2020. Bentley finished with 34 points and four first place votes, just one point and one vote ahead of reigning champion, Southern Connecticut who had 33 total points and three first place votes. The Falcons and Owls have been the top two finishers in the championship for the last nine years, with Bentley claiming two of the last three titles.
Le Moyne placed third with 25 points, while Adelphi was fourth with 22 points. Pace landed in fifth with 12 points, followed by Saint Michael's with 11 and Saint Rose with 10 to close out the poll.
The 2023 NE10 Swimming & Diving Championship is set to being on Thursday evening, Feb. 9, at the WPI Sports and Recreation Center in Worcester, Mass. The four-day event will continue through Sunday evening, Feb. 12. Spectators are allowed to start entering 45 minutes prior to the start time on Thursday and Friday night (5:15 p.m.) and one hour before Satuday and Sunday (9:15 a.m.).
