WINSTON SALEM, N.C. - For the second time in three years, Southern Connecticut State University's Nick Lebron has captured the individual national title in the heptathlon at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships.

After winning the crown in 2012 and also earning All-America honors last year, Lebron, pictured here with Owls men's head coach John Wallin, claimed this year's title on Saturday with a new Division II record score of 5,765 points.

Lebron sealed up the title with first-place finishes in the 60 hurdles and 1000 meters, along with a fourth place showing in the pole vault. He was also in first place after day one.
