NE10 Women's Track Athlete of the Week

Gabrielle Griffin, Adelphi
Jr. | Hurdles | Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.

Gabrielle Griffin moved into the Adelphi top-10 all-time performance list in the individual 400m hurdle event, posting a time of 1:04.01, placing first in the field at the St. John's Invite. After the weekend of action, she ranks first in both the NE10 and East Region in the event.


NE10 Women's Field Athlete of the Week

Julieth Nwosu, Franklin Pierce
Sophomore | Throws | Brockton, Mass.

On Thursday at ECSU, won both the shot put (12.55m) and the discus (40.10m), and also placed second in the 100-meter dash (13.75). The discus mark represented a new program record and is the top distance in the NE10 this season.


NE10 Women's Track Rookie of the Week

Claire O'Regan, Adelphi
Freshman | Sprints | 

Claire O'Regan is the top freshman in the Region for the 100m race after competing at the St. John's Invite. The rookie placed sixth overall in the field but posted a career-best time of 12.64 in the event.


NE10 Women's Field Rookie of the Week

NE10 Women's Relay of the Week

New Haven - 4x100 Relay

In the 4x100-meter relay, the group of Mackenzie Evans, Savannah Sistrunk, Maritza Blanchard and Kathleen Amstad led the pack, finishing over a half second faster than their closes competition with a time of 49.94 seconds. It is the second-fastest time in the NE10 this year.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Roxan Foster, American Int'l (So. - Springfield, Massachusetts)
Foster took over the top spot in the NE10 in the 100-meter hurdles at the George Davis Invitational, completing the race in 14.91 seconds.

Victoria Steffon, Assumption University (Jr. - Holden, Mass.)
Steffon won the 100 meters at the George Davis Invitational and took second in the 200 meters ove the weekend. She ran the 200 meters in 26.45 and won the 100 meters in 12.57 seconds.

Sydney Hurwitz, Bentley (Sr. - Newton, Mass.)
At UMass-Lowell's George Davis Invitational, Hurwitz finished first of 22 in the long jump, clearing 5.59 meters (18?4.25?). She took first by 0.11m over Northeastern's Jillian Lombardi. In addition, she was fourth of 23 in the 200 meters (6.69 seconds) and eighth of 22 in the 100 meter hurdles (15.60).

Bethaney Donnelly, Franklin Pierce (Gr. - Manchester, United Kingdom)
On Thursday at ECSU, won both the 800 meters (2:27.99) and the 1500 meters (5:05.66).

Tori Limone, Southern N.H. (Fr. - Stoneham, Mass.)
Tori threw a javelin 33.40m (109' 7") during Saturday's George Davis Invitation at UMass-Lowell. That was good for a seventh place finish in a competitive field.

Claire Mason, Stonehill (Jr. - East Lyme, Conn.)
Mason clocked in a personal best time of 2:18.11 in the 800-meter run, about seven seconds faster than her previous best. The junior placed first in the event out of 11 competitors, as Stonehill hosted Holy Cross in a dual meet on Sunday.

Krista Stracqualursi, Stonehill  (Jr. - Tewksbury, Mass.)
Stracqualursi competed in the discus, shot put, and hammer throws at the Stonehill/Holy Cross Dual Meet on Sunday, as she placed first, third and fourth, respectively. With her first-place mark in the discus, she threw the apparatus a mark of 38.16m (125-feet, 2-inch) on her fourth throw. Her third-place finish in the shot put was with a distance of 11.79m (38-feet, 8.25-inch) on her fifth throw, and her fourth-place mark in the hammer throw was with a personal best mark of 35.04m (114-feet, 11-inch) on her fourth throw.
