NE10 Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships Completes Day 1

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Only two events were completed on Thursday evening and Southern New Hampshire sits in first place at the 2021 NE10 Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The Penmen have 14 points in first while Franklin Pierce is close behind with 11. Saint Rose and New Haven are tied for third with ten points. 

In the 10,000 meters, Bethany Donnelly used an impressive final lap to pull away for a victory in a time of 39:11.14. Rebecca Erhard from Stonehill took second and Sarah Zarakotas from SNHU placed third.

Stephanie Green of Saint Rose claimed victory in the hammer with her toss of 46.56 meters, beating second place Jaylnn McCowin by more than five meters. Morgan Sartor of Le Moyne placed third. 

Action gets underway tomorrow at 10:30 in the long jump, shot put and the heptathlon. The complete schedule of events, live results and video are available at our championships page.
