Complete List of NCAA Qualifiers
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA released its selections for the 2021 Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Tuesday afternoon. The Northeast-10 Conference had 13 student-athletes selected to compete at the Championships, which begin on May 27 at Grand Valley State University.
NE10 Champion Southern Connecticut has a league-best seven individuals who will be competing, highlighted by senior Nigel Green who is the lone student-athlete in two events. Green will be competing in the 100 meter dash, as well as the 4x400 relay alongside Sachin Manning, Christ N'Dabian and Milan Spisek. Also competing for the Owls are Jordan Davis (javelin), Turner Kelly (shot put) and Oghenefejiro Onakpoma (triple jump).
AIC had four individuals qualify, led by reigning NCAA Champion in the 3000 meter steeplechase, Leakey Kipkosgei. Ezra Mutai qualified in the 10K and owns the top time in the nation this year. Benoit Campion (1500m) and Clement Paillon (800m) also qualified on the men's side for the Yellow Jackets.
The lone female from the NE10 to earn a spot in the NCAA Championships was AIC's Roxan Foster. She qualified in the 100 meter hurdles.
Adelphi's Evangelos Fradelakis was the final NE10 qualifier and is scheduled to compete in the hammer throw.
