Seven Schools & 11 Student-Athletes Honored by USTFCCCA
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Last week, The Northeast-10 had 11 track & field student-athletes and seven different schools earn U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic honors for their success in the classroom and on the track.
Individually, two women and nine men were named All-Academic after recording a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.25 GPA, as well as achieving an automatic or provisional qualifying mark for either the indoor or outdoor season.
AIC led all schools with six honorees, highlighted by two women and four men. Southern Connecticut had three honorees, while Adelphi and Assumption each had one apiece. To view the entire list of honorees, see below.
Seven different schools earned All-Academic honors. To qualify, all student-athletes on the institution's NCAA Squad List for Indoor and/or Outdoor Track and Field must combine to have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, certifiable by the institution's registrar. Adelphi, Bentley, Franklin Pierce and Stonehill had both its men's and women's programs honored. The women's teams from AIC, New Haven and SCSU were also honored.
On the women's side, Adelphi had the best GPA with a 3.528, while Stonehill was second with a 3.41 and Bentley was third with a 3.36. For the men, Bentley posted the top GPA with a 3.46 GPA. The Panthers were second at 3.419 while Franklin Pierce had a 3.31.
