NE10 Women's Track Athlete of the Week

Lucy Ambroult, Bentley
Junior | Holbrook, Mass.

Lucy Ambroult opened her junior year by twice breaking the school record in the 60 meter dash while competing in the Beacon Invitational at the Track at New Balance. Ambroult ran the prelims in exactly eight seconds, bettering the mark Stephanie Mattson posted in 2017 by four-hundredths of a second, and improved on that with a 7.97 in the finals. She finished fourth in a field of 53 and trailed only three Division I athletes. She also finished seventh among 14 competitors in the long jump with a distance of 17 feet, 0.75 inches.


NE10 Women's Field Athlete of the Week

Kyria Moore, Adelphi
Graduate Student | Rockville Centre, N.Y.

Grad transfer Kyria Moore set two new program marks over the weekend, competing at the Wagner Seahawk Shootout. After placing fourth overall in the shotput, with a 12.08m toss on her final attempt to set a new program record on the women's side, she went on to win the weight throw event. In her first attempt, she launched the weight throw 18.92, which is a school record and an NCAA provisional mark for this season.


NE10 Women's Track Rookie of the Week

Patrice Mansfield, Southern Conn. St.
Freshman | Wallingford, Conn.

At the Yale Season Opener, Patrice Mansfield finished fifth in the 60 Meter Hurdles with a time of 9.36, finishing ahead of runners from Columbia, Sacred Heart and Quinnipiac. In the 500 Meter Dash she was 10th at 1:21.96. In the 4x400 Relay, she was part of Southern's "B" relay team that finished fifth at 4:03.38


NE10 Women's Field Rookie of the Week

Elizabeth Jones, Franklin Pierce
Freshman | St. Johnsbury, Vt.

Placed 3rd-overall in the Women's Shotput (10.77m), High Jump (1.41m) and Pole Vault (2.55m) events at the University of Southern Maine this past weekend. Included in her performance on the field, The Raven freshman also ran the lead-off leg of the top-finishing Sprint Medley Relay.


NE10 Women's Relay of the Week

4x400 Relay, Southern Conn. St.

At the Yale Season Opener against all NCAA Division I teams, Southern's "A" relay of Izzy Newbury, Avery Winters, Anna-Sashia Jones and Ella Maclean won the 4x400 Relay with a time of 3:52.80. Which is a NCAA Division I provisional qualifying time and ranks as the second fastest, nationally, to date.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Raven-symone Jarrett, AIC (So. - New Britian, Conn.)
Jarrett turned in an incredible week. She went to the Husky Pentathlon and scored 3746 points, a career best that sits her seventh nationally and tops in the East Region and NE10, and followed up with a second-place finish two days later at the Beacon Invite in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.90 as the only finalist who wasn't a Division I athlete. That time ranks second in the East and atop the NE10 as well.

Olivia Johnson, Assumption (Sr. - Stratford, Conn.)
Johnson had a pair of top-ten placements at the UMass Invite this past weekend. She took fourth in the Women's Triple Jump (11.19m/36'8.5") before finishing ninth in the Long jump (5.14m/16'10.5")

Nyjah Young-Bey, Franklin Pierce (Sr. - Montclair, N.J.)
Young-Bey crossed the finish line first to win the Women's 55-Meter Dash (7.43), as well as the Women's 500-Meter Run (1:18.29) events at this past weekend's University of Southern Maine Opener.

Kristen Washington, New Haven (Sr. - New Haven, Conn.)
Washington took home a pair of second place honors in the long jump and triple jump from the Beacon Invitational this past weekend. She began with a distance of 5.32 meters in the long jump and followed that with a leap of 11.51 meters in the triple jump.

Izzy Newbury, Southern Connecticut (Jr. - Moosup, Conn.)
Izzy Newbury posted the top NCAA Division II time of the year in the 500 Meters at 1:17.82. She was also on the 4x400 Relay Team that won at Yale with a time 3:52.80, a NCAA Division II provisional qualifying time and the second fastest, nationally, to date.

Shayna Smith, Southern Connecticut (Jr. - New Haven, Conn.)
At the Yale Season Opener against a NCAA Division I field, Shayna Smith finished in the top half in the Triple Jump with a distance of 10.63m for seventh place.

Bennie Alula, Southern New Hampshire (Gr. - Hartford, Conn.)
In her first meet of the season, Alula captured the shot put and weight throw at the Winter Classic in Plymouth, N.H. Alula had a throw of 11.26m in the shot put, and 14.06m in the weight throw.

Ava Gravell, Southern New Hampshire (Jr. - Windham, N.H.)
Ava Gravell picked up a pair of individual wins, and led the SNHU 4x400 relay team to a win at the Winter Classic at Plymouth, N.H. on Saturday. Gravell was tops in the 60m race at 8.03, just .01 off her PR. Gravell also won the long jump (5.21m) to lead the Penmen to the tri-meet victory over Plymouth State and Colby-Sawyer Saturday.
