NE10 Men's Track Athlete of the Week

Nathaniel Peters, New Haven
Sophomore | Stoughton, Mass.

Peters hit a pair of personal bests at two meets this weekend. His first came on the track at the Ramapo College Opener where he took first place in the 600-meter run with a time of 1:22.16, breaking the UNH School record, one that had stood since 2017. At this second meet of the weekend, he shifted gears to the field events, taking first place in the long jump with a new personal best of 6.72-meters. He also participated in the high jump and shot put at the William Sutherland Invitational


NE10 Men's Field Athlete of the Week

Yoofi Abaka-Amuah, Assumption
Freshman | Worcester, Mass.

Abaka-Amuah continues to dominate both throwing events, as the Freshman won both the Shot put and the Weight Throw at the Sutherland Invitational on Sunday. His winning throw in the Shot Put bested the field by nearly two feet and broke his own school record, while with his weight throw, he won the event by 1'1.5".


NE10 Men's Track Rookie of the Week

Nolan Freeman, Southern Conn. St.
Freshman | New Milford, Conn.

Making his collegiate debut at Sunday's William Sutherland Invitational, Nolan Freeman won the 55 Meter Dash with a time of 6.51, besting the second-place finisher by .17.


NE10 Men's Field Rookie of the Week

Yoofi Abaka-Amuah, Assumption
Freshman | Worcester, Mass.

Abaka-Amuah continues to dominate both throwing events, as the Freshman won both the Shot put and the Weight Throw at the Sutherland Invitational on Sunday. His winning throw in the Shot Put bested the field by nearly two feet and broke his own school record, while with his weight throw, he won the event by 1'1.5".


NE10 Men's Relay of the Week

4x400 Relay, New Haven

In the first of two meets this weekend, the Chargers 4x400-meter relay of Ryan Williams, Nile Colson, Blake Jandreau and Jordany Dely took second place at the Ramapo College Opener, finishing the event in a time of 3:22.21 which is an NCAA provisional mark.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Matthew Gemma, Adelphi (Sr. - North Bellemore, N.Y.)
Matthew Gemma raced to a fourth place finish at the Ramapo College Opener over the weekend in the 5000m event, clocking in at 15:42.00. His time ranks him in the top-3 in the NE10 this season.

Charles Driscoll, Assumption (So. - Unionville, Conn.)
Driscoll picked up the win in the 800m at the Sutherland Invite on Sunday. His time of 2:02.68, as he won the race by .07 of a second.

Matt Bartolotta Le Moyne (R-So. - Syracuse, N.Y.)
He placed second in the 5000-meter run with a time of 16:15.13 on Saturday at the Winter Welcome Back to Brockport Meet.

Nolan Hillhouse, Le Moyne (Sr. - Beacon, N.Y.)
He placed 10th in the triple jump with a mark of 40-feet, 11.5-inches and placed 23rd in the long jump with a distance of 19-feet, 7-inches on Saturday at the Winter Welcome Back to Brockport Meet.

Divine Edwards, Southern Conn. St. (So. - Hartford, Conn.)
Owls sophomore Divine Edwards won the 200 Meter Dash at the William Sutherland Invitational. Edwards posted a time of 23.41, defeating runners from Assumption and New Haven.

Oliver Hayes, Southern Conn. St. (Jr. - Ridgefield, Conn.)
Owls junior Oliver Hayes won the Pole Vault event at the Williams Sutherland Invitational with a height of 14'7 ¼".
