NE10 Men's Track Athlete of the Week
Tre'Sean Bouie, Assumption
Senior | Philadelphia, Pa.
Bouie finished fifth overall in the men's 400m at the Terrier Classic at BU. His time of 48.12 set a new school record, as that mark sits 10th in Division II.
NE10 Men's Field Athlete of the Week
Cameron Belton, Southern Conn. St.
Junior | Baltic, Conn.
At the UMass Lowell River Hawk Invitational, Southern dominated the 54-athlete Shot Put event as it claimed four of the top 10 spots. Cameron Belton led the Owls with a win in the Shot Put with a distance of 16.68m (54' 8 ¾").
NE10 Men's Track Rookie of the Week
Nolan Freeman, Southern Conn. St.
Freshman | New Milford, Conn.
Southern Connecticut men's indoor track & field freshman Nolan Freeman won his second event in as many times on the track this season as he won the 60 Meter Dash at the John Thomas Terrier Classic hosted by Boston University at The TRACK at New Balance in Boston, Mass. Freeman's time in the 60 Meter Dash posted at 6.99 for the win out of 57 runners, with half of the list comprised of NCAA Division I runners. Freeman is coming off a win in the 55 Meters at the William Sutherland Invitational last wee that earned him Northeast 10 Track Freshman of the Week. The Owls' freshman also finished tied for 10th out of 121 in the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 22.00, which also stands as the Owls' top time of the indoor season.
NE10 Men's Field Rookie of the Week
Kenneth Okoye, Southern Conn. St.
Freshman | Saugus, Mass.
At the River Hawk Invitational, Kenneth Okoye finished 10th in the High Jump with a score of 1.91m (6' 3 1/4"). Okoye's score was a NCAA Division II provisional score and the top Division II score in the 19-athlete field at the River Hawk Invitational.
NE10 Men's Relay of the Week
4x200 Relay, Le Moyne
The quartet of freshman Payton Hirsch, sophomore Brandon Scott, sophomore Connor Scott and senior Christian Carlin-Saracene placed fifth in the 4x200-meter relay with a program-record time of 1:34.54 on Saturday at Utica's Orange and Blue Invitational.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Yoofi Abaka-Amuah, Assumption (Fr. - Worcester, Mass.)
Abaka-Amuah had two top-20 finishes in Boston this weekend. At the Riverhawk Invitational, the freshman came in 18th in the shot put (14.07m | 46' 2"), before finishing seventh in the weight throw (16.33 | 53' 7").
Worlf Malivert, AIC (Jr. - Somerville, Mass.)
Malivert won the triple jump at the River Hawk Invitational with a 14.56 meter leap. That jump is the second-best in the NE10 this season, behind only his own earlier performance, and third in the East, with only one athlete besides himself ahead of him.
Stephen Harris, Franklin Pierce (Jr. - Billerica, Mass.)
Harris hit NCAA provisional standards in the Men's 200-Meter this past weekend at the two-day, John Thomas Terrier Classic at Boston University. In the event, the Raven junior crossed the finish line with a time of 21.52, placing 2nd overall. In addition to his effort in the 200-Meter, Harris also claimed 3rd overall in the Men's 60-Meter Dash preliminaries with an even race time of 7.00.
Christian Carlin-Saracene, Le Moyne (Sr. - North Syracuse, N.Y.)
He finished second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:00.58, just 0.19 seconds behind first on Saturday at Utica's Orange and Blue Invitational.
Nicholas Hafner, Le Moyne (Sr. - Hamburg, N.Y.)
On Saturday at Utica's Orange and Blue Invitational, he placed fifth in the high jump with a height of 5-feet, 9.25-inches, 11th in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.11 seconds and 16th in the long jump with a distance of 19-feet, 6.75-inches.
Jonathan Volpe, Southern Conn. St. (So. - Naugatuck, Conn.)
At the UMass Lowell River Hawk Invitational, Jonathon Volpe led the Owls with a win in the 800 Meter Run. Volpe finished first ahead of the 53-runner field, crossing with a time of 1:52.46.
