NE10 Player of the Week
Taylor Tomlinson, American International
Graduate Student | Forward | Middletown, N.Y.
Tomlinson was a dominant force inside the arc for AIC once more, averaging 24.5 points per game and leading AIC to two wins over Saint Rose and Franklin Pierce. She was remarkably consistent, shooting 11-of-18 in both games, a 61.1 field goal percentage. She also averaged 8.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Sierra Linnin, Le Moyne
Freshman | Guard | Valley Cottage, N.Y.
Linnin averaged 14.5 points and 2.5 rebounds in Le Moyne's 2-0 week. She netted a career-high 22 points, including connecting on a Le Moyne freshman-record six three-pointers, and grabbed a pair of rebounds in a 74-63 win at Southern Connecticut State on Wednesday. She posted seven points and three rebounds in a 53-38 victory over league-leading Bentley on Saturday.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Jenna Jordan, Adelphi (Sr., F - Valley Cottage, N.Y.)
Posted back-to-back double-doubles in a 1-1 week. Jordan averaged a team-leading 17.5 points and 13.5 rebounds per game and shot 51.9 percent (14-of-27) from the field. She scored 13 first-half points in a 20-point game and pulled down 15 rebounds against No. 21 Assumption, then recorded 15 points and 12 rebounds in a 65-56 win at Saint Michael's.
Ines Gimenez Monserrat, Franklin Pierce (Jr., F - Mallorca, Spain)
There was only one matchup this past week for the Ravens, but Gimenez Monserrat delivered for the squad with a 23 point afternoon against AIC on Saturday afternoon, additionally adding in five total rebounds, a pair of assists and one steal through 36-minutes played. From the floor, the Raven junior shot 9-of-17 (52.9%) including a 3-of-5 (60.0%) success rate from behind the arc.
Lytoya Baker, Le Moyne (Sr., G - Rochester, N.Y.)
Baker averaged 12.0 points, 12.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game in Le Moyne's 2-0 week. She opened the week with 13 points, a season-high eight assists, seven rebounds and two steals in a 74-63 victory at Southern Connecticut State on Wednesday. On Saturday, she registered her league-best 12th double-double of the season with 11 points, a career-best 18 rebounds, two assists and two steals in a 53-38 win over league-leading Bentley. The 18 rebounds are tied for the fifth-most by a Dolphin in the program's history and are tied for the second-most in an NE10 contest.
Aurora Deshaies, New Haven (Sr., F - Syracuse, N.Y.)
In a 2-0 week for the Chargers, Deshaies averaged a double double with 13.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game, with her most important points of the week coming on a putback with 0.3 seconds remaining to give New Haven a 51-49 upset win over league leading Bentley in a midweek battle. In that game, she finished with 10 points and eight boards, shooting 5-of-11 from the field. She followed that up on the weekend with a 17 points, 13 rebound double double against Pace, connecting on 7-of-9 from the field and going 3-of-4 at the free throw line.
Gabby Turco, Saint Anselm (Jr., G - Wildwood, N.J.)
Averaged 19.5 points per game this past week, scoring 19 points at Southern New Hampshire on Wednesday before dropping 20 points at home against Southern Connecticut State in a 63-61 victory. Against the Owls, Turco went 11-for-11 from the free throw line in the victory, becoming one of just two student-athletes (Peyton Steinman '22) since at least the 2001-02 season to accomplish that. She is also the lone East Region student-athlete this season with a perfect single-game percentage with at least 11 attempts and one of just 15 nationally to make that claim.
Paige Slaven, Saint Michael's (Jr., G - Fair Haven, N.J.)
Slaven averaged 14.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.5 steals while shooting 50.0% overall and 4-for-10 from three-point range last week. In a 60-49 loss at Pace on Wednesday, she notched 11 points (2-5 3PT), seven rebounds, three assists and two steals before turning in a career-high-tying 18 points (7-12 FG, 2-5 3PT), a career-high-tying 11 boards, three blocks and one steal in a 65-56 loss to Adelphi on Saturday.
Zoe Amalbert, Southern Conn. St. (Sr., G - Nanuet, N.Y.)
Despite a pair of losses, Zoe Amalbert averaged 19.5 points and five assists per game. Against Le Moyne, she finished with 15 points, while shooting 3-for-4 from three-point range, with eight assists. Against Saint Anselm, Amalbert had a game-high 23 points.
Adriana Timberlake, Southern N.H. (Sr., G - Braintree, Mass.)
Timberlake scored 19 points (8-20 FG, 3-6 3-FG), dished five assists and grabbed a pair of rebounds in SNHU's 71-63 victory over Saint Anselm on Wednesday.
