Four NE10 Players Named WBCA All-America Honorable Mentions

MANSFIELD, Mass. - Southern New Hampshire senior guard Adriana Timberlake, Le Moyne senior guard Lytoya Baker, American International graduate forward Taylor Tomlinson and Bentley junior guard Maggie Whitmore have been selected as Division II All-America Honorable Mentions by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) following their outstanding performances in the 2022-23 season. 

Timberlake, First Team All-East Region and the Northeast-10 Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Year, ranked third among all NE10 players this season with 16.5 points per game. She also ranked fifth in assists (3.4 per game) and 14th in steals (1.5 per game), as she led Southern New Hampshire to its first-ever appearance in the NE10 Championship final. Timberlake was a First Team All-Conference selection. 

Baker, First Team All-East Region and the NE10 Defensive Player of the Year, led Le Moyne to a share of the regular season title and the top seed in the NE10 Women's Basketball Championship. She tallied 16 double-doubles this season for the Dolphins - 12th-most among all Division II players. Baker was one of only two NE10 players to average a double-double this season, recording 12.8 points and 10.7 rebounds per contest. She was a First Team All-Conference selection, as well as an All-Defensive Team honoree. 

Tomlinson, a First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-East Region player, was second in scoring with 16.8 points and tallied 6.1 rebounds per game. She scored in double digits on 24 occasions, including a season-high 31 points against Saint Rose in the first round of the NE10 Women's Basketball Championship. 

Whitmore, the Most Outstanding Player of the NE10 Women's Basketball Championship, averaged a team-best 12.8 points per game this season to lead Bentley to its second-straight (and 22nd overall) NE10 title. She also tallied 6.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game, on her way to earning Second Team All-Conference honors. Whitmore scored in double figures in 24 games this season for the Falcons. 

Division II WBCA All-America teams are selected by a committee of WBCA member coaches from throughout the division.
