Women's Lacrosse 2021

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Falcons, Dolphins Win Regular Season Titles.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Bentley and Le Moyne will be the top seeds in the upcoming Northeast-10 Conference Women's Lacrosse Championship, as the league office announced its divisional-based bracket format on Wednesday night.

The Dolphins, currently ranked No. 3 in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) rankings, went a perfect 12-0 in NE10 play this season to win the Southwest Division. The Falcons, No. 15 in the IWLCA poll, were 8-2 this season in league contests, capturing the Northeast Division crown.

As announced on April 1, the NE10 Women's Lacrosse Championship will occur in a divisional format. For seedings and matchups for the 2021 NE10 Women's Lacrosse Championship, please see the schedule below for dates and times of the divisional first round, divisional semifinals, divisional final and championship final.

Le Moyne and Bentley, as well as the Northeast Division's second seed Saint Anselm, will receive first-round byes. Divisional first round games will take place on Friday, April 30.

Divisional semifinals will be played on Monday, May 3, divisional finals on Thursday, May 6 and the championship final on Mother's Day – Sunday, May 9. All postseason games will be live streamed on NE10 NOW, the official digital streaming platform of the Northeast-10 Conference.

Conference winning percentage was the metric used to determine championship seeding, as not all teams played the same number of contests due to COVID-19 protocol.

Franklin Pierce, Assumption, Southern New Hampshire and Saint Michael's rounded-out the Northeast Division bracket. Pace, Adelphi, New Haven, Southern Connecticut, American International and Saint Rose followed Le Moyne in the Southwest Division, respectively.

All matches may be impacted by the conference's COVID-19 protocols, but no bracket adjustments will be made after Wednesday evening. If a team is not available to play, it will be recorded as a "No Contest" and their opponent will advance to the next round.
