Le Moyne, Bentley, Saint Anselm and Adelphi Move On.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Le Moyne and Bentley, the top seeds of the Northeast-10 Conference Women's Lacrosse Championship, both advanced with divisional semifinal wins on Monday – in addition to Adelphi scoring an upset and Saint Anselm earning a win to move on in the tournament.

Le Moyne, the top seed in the Southwest Division, will play third-seeded Adelphi after a convincing 17-5 victory over fourth-seeded New Haven. The Panthers earned an 18-12 win against second-seeded Pace on the road, setting up the showdown for Southwest Division supremacy on Thursday with the Dolphins at 4 p.m.

Bentley had to work hard to advance to Thursday, as it survived an upset attempt by Assumption in double-overtime. Saint Anselm edged third-seeded Franklin Pierce, 17-14, to earn a trip to Bentley with a trip to the championship game at stake.

(1SW) Le Moyne 17, (4SW) New Haven 5 – Box Score

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Junior attacker Jessica Meneilly scored four goals to lead four Dolphins with at least three goals as the top-seeded and third-ranked Le Moyne women's lacrosse team registered a 17-5 victory over fourth-seeded and 20th-ranked New Haven in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship divisional semifinals on Monday afternoon at Ted Grant Field.

With the victory, the Dolphins advance to the NE10 divisional final – normally the semifinal contest - for the sixth straight season (excluding 2020 when no championship was held), the longest active streak in the conference. The Dolphins will host third-seeded and 11th-ranked Adelphi on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. with a berth in the NE10 Championship game on the line. Either Le Moyne or Adelphi (or both on seven occasions) has appeared in every NE10 Championship game since the Panthers joined the NE10 in 2010. Adelphi has won five of the previous seven meetings in the NE10 tournament, but Le Moyne was victorious in the most recent matchup, 14-10, in the 2018 championship game.

(3SW) Adelphi 18, (2SW) Pace 12 – Box Score

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. - Trailing by two at the half, the No. 3 Adelphi women's lacrosse team battled to an 18-12 victory over No. 2 Pace Monday afternoon in the Southwest Division semifinals of the Northeast-10 Conference tournament.

The victory stands as the Panthers (8-3, 6-3 NE10) fifth consecutive win and eighth in their last nine outings. Christina McCabe finished the contest with six points behind a team-high five goals and one assist as Molly Fetherston had a big second half with a hat trick of her own. (1NE) Bentley 10, (4NE) Assumption 9 (2OT) – Box Score

WALTHAM, Mass. – Freshman Caroline Affolter scored with 1:36 left in the second overtime to give Bentley a 10-9 victory over Assumption in the NE10 Northeast Division semifinals on Monday night. With the win the Falcons advance on to the Division finals on Thursday night, where they will host Saint Anselm.

After the first three minute overtime ended with the game still tied 9-9, it went to a second, sudden-death overtime.

Senior Sandrine Heller won the draw control to give Bentley possession. After setting up the offense the ball ended up on the stick of Julia Glavin, who drove to the cage and got off a shot that bounced in front of the net. Affolter picked up the ground ball and beat Assumption goalie Allie Collins to the spot with a low shot for the goal to give Bentley the 10-9 win with 1:36 remaining on the clock.

(3NE) Franklin Pierce 17, (2NE) Saint Anselm 14 – Box Score

MANCHESTER, N.H. – The nationally-ranked Saint Anselm women's lacrosse team defeated Franklin Pierce, 17-14, in a Northeast-10 Conference Divisional Semifinals matchup on Monday.

In its first NE10 postseason appearance since 2018, Saint Anselm, the 21st-ranked team in the newest Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division II Poll, improves to 8-2 on the season and advances to the next round. Junior captain Jenna Balboni scored a career-high six goals in the win.
