Le Moyne Earns Five Major Awards as NE10 Releases Women's Lacrosse All-Conference Honors

All-Conference for women's lacrosse

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Le Moyne with League-High Nine All-Conference Selections.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Franklin Pierce junior Savannah Ernst and Le Moyne senior Erin McMullen have each earned Northeast-10 Conference Attacker of the Year honors in the Northeast and Southwest Divisions, respectively, as the league announced its full slate of women's lacrosse all-conference awards on Tuesday afternoon.

Due to divisional scheduling this season in the COVID-19 pandemic, women's lacrosse major awards were also broken up into divisions. All-Conference team selections remained the same, however, including NE10 players from both divisions on three teams. For a complete list of all-conference honorees, please see below.

Le Moyne, the regular season champion and top seed in the Southwest Division of the NE10 Women's Lacrosse Championship, led all NE10 programs with nine players selected to All-Conference teams. The Dolphins, who are ranked No. 3 in the latest Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) poll, also grabbed five major awards – including McMullen.

Adelphi, the reigning NCAA Division II champion, had six all-conference selections – good for second-most in the league. Bentley, the Northeast Division regular season champion, joined Assumption and Pace with four honorees apiece.

McMullen was versatile in her contributions for the undefeated Dolphins this season, ranking first in the league in points (47), first in draw controls (79), third in goals (37) and tied for 11th in ground balls (23) in conference games. Ernst was second in points (46) and second in goals (38) in NE10 contests this season, all while playing fewer games than all other top scorers.

Saint Michael's Emma Coleman and New Haven's Raven Linton earned Northeast and Southwest Division Defensive Player of the Year honors, respectively. Coleman led all NE10 players in ground balls (48) and caused turnovers (33) – and ranked in the top three in all of Division II in ground balls and caused turnovers per game. Linton had another outstanding year for the Chargers, ranking fifth in the NE10 in draw controls (47), while recording 21 ground balls and 18 caused turnovers.

For Midfielder of the Year, it was Stonehill's Emma Sullivan in the Northeast Division and Le Moyne's Sydney Meagher in the Southwest Division who were selected. Sullivan accounted for 26 points, including 21 goals, and registering 50 draw controls – fourth-most in the league. Meagher recorded 32 points, including 20 goals, while racking up 21 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers for the top-seeded Dolphins.

Bentley's Eliza Bresler was selected Northeast Division Goalkeeper of the Year, while Le Moyne's Paige Crandall won the honor in the Southwest Division. Both goalkeepers play for top-seeded teams in their respective divisions in the NE10 Women's Lacrosse Championship. Bresler led the NE10 in saves (116) and is the overall Division II leader in save percentage (61.9). Crandall led the Dolphins to a 12-0 record and ranked second in the NE10 in save percentage (58.7).

Assumption's Jenna Joseph and Le Moyne's Crandall earned Rookie of the Year honors, as both had sensational first-year campaigns. Joseph ranked in the top-10 in scoring (35 points) in the NE10, including a league-best 23 assists, while adding 27 draw controls to her output for the Greyhounds.

Le Moyne's Liz Beville was named NE10 Coach of the Year after leading the Dolphins to an undefeated 12-0 regular season and the top seed in the Southwest Division of the NE10 Women's Lacrosse Championship. In her first full season with the team, Beville has helped lead the program to the No. 3 ranking in the IWLCA poll.

The NE10 Women's Lacrosse Championship continues on Thursday with the divisional finals, as Le Moyne hosts third-seeded Adelphi and Bentley welcomes second-seeded Saint Anselm. All four teams are playing for a spot in Sunday's championship game. For all tournament information, click HERE.
