Amanda Franstedt, Adelphi
Sophomore | Stockholm, Sweden
Franstedt won both her singles matches at the No. 3 flight without losing a game (6-0, 6-0)...Helped lead the Panthers to their first win over Stonehill since 2017...Also won comfortably by a 6-1 margin in both of her No. 2 doubles matches against AIC and Stonehill.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Fiona Pepper, Le Moyne
Freshman | Challapampa, Peru
Pepper went 2-0 in singles action and 1-1 in doubles play in Le Moyne's 2-0 week. She was a 6-4, 6-4 winner at third singles against Assumption on Wednesday and a 6-1, 6-3 winner at second singles against New Haven on Sunday. She was also a 6-2 winner at second doubles against Assumption.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Alessa Matuty, Bentley (Jr. - San Pedro Sula, Honduras)
Matuty went a combined 2-0 last week to help Bentley to a 2-0 start to the season. She won in No. 3 singles, 6-4, 6-1, in the Falcons' 5-2 victory over Saint Anselm. In the team's 4-3 win at AIC on Sunday, she teamed with Makena Romagnano for a 7-5 win in No. 1 doubles.
Laura Alvarez Tello, Franklin Pierce (So. - Vigo, Spain)
She went 2-0 at both second doubles and fourth singles to post a 4-0 record on the week. At fourth singles, notched a 4-6, 6-2, 7-5 win at SNHU on Wednesday and a 6-1, 6-0 victory at Saint Anselm on Sunday. At second doubles, with Maria Penalver Aguilo, tallied a 5-2 win at SNHU on Wednesday and a 4-0 triumph at Saint Anselm on Sunday.
Magdalena Hubickova, Southern New Hampshire (So. - Prague, Czech Republic)
Hubickova outlasted Maria Aguilo for a 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 victory at No. 1 singles Wednesday, but the Penmen suffered their first loss of the season, falling to Franklin Pierce, 5-2.
