NE10 Player of the Week

Ivana Andric, New Haven
Graduate Student | Griesheim, Germany

Andric finished a 3-0 week for the Chargers with a perfect 6-0 record combined at singles and doubles, playing at the top flight in both instances. In doubles play she and partner senior Stephanie Gonzalez posted a 7-5 decision to open the week against Assumption before scoring a 6-2 victory over Bentley in the first of back-to-back weekend matches. She and Gonzalez rounded out the week with a 6-3 decision against AIC. In singles play, Andric thwarted off a late rally by Assumption's Julia Chappell to take a 6-0, 7-5 decision on Wednesday. She then surrendered just one point in a road win over Bentley and closed out the weekend with a 6-2, 6-3 win over AIC's Meritzell Jimeno.


NE10 Rookie of the Week

Abby Murphy, New Haven
Freshman | Southington, Conn.

Making her first collegiate appearances as a Charger, Abby Murphy finished with a perfect 3-0 record on the week, taking home a pair of doubles victories and her first singles victory of the year. Murphy opened up her week with a doubles win against Bentley as her and partner Alexa Orlando swept their competition without allowing a point. She would then join fellow freshman Elena Miko on Saturday for a 6-1 decision at second doubles against AIC before turning to singles play where she surrendered just one point to her competition at third singles 6-1, 6-0.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Barbie Quagliardi, Adelphi (Jr. - Istanbul, Turkey)
Her result at No. 2 singles was the decisive match that sent the Panthers to their third-straight win; a 4-2 victory over Le Moyne on Easter Sunday...Dropped the first set, 6-2, but rallied to claim the final two by scores of 7-5 and 6-2 at No. 2 singles...Also teamed up with Nicole Kielan and remained undefeated at top doubles with a 6-4 victory.

Magdalena Hubickova, So. New Hampshire (So. - Prague, Czech Republic)
Hubickova was a 6-0, 6-2 winner at No. 1 singles against Emily Jacy to clinch an eventual 5-0 win over Saint Anselm for the Penmen on Wednesday night. Hubickova also teamed with junior Alexxa Etienne at No. 1 doubles for a 6-0 blanking of Anastasia Kapothanasis and Jacy.
