SNHU Claims Top Spot in NE10 Women's Tennis Championship

Women's Tennis Bracket - 2022

CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL

Penmen Earn NE10 Regular Season Title.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – For the first time since the 2013 season, Southern New Hampshire has earned sole possession of the Northeast-10 Conference regular season title and claimed the top spot in the upcoming Women's Tennis Championship, as the league office announced the full playoff bracket on Saturday evening.

The Penmen (9-0, 9-0 NE10) went undefeated against conference opponents and edged second-seeded Franklin Pierce (9-1, 8-1 NE10) by one match in the standings. Head coach Greg Coache led SNHU to a share of the NE10 regular season title in 2019-20, but it was the No. 2 seed in the Championship due to a tiebreaker.

SNHU seeks its first NE10 title since 2011-12 - which was the final victory of three consecutive league championships for the Penmen (2009-10, 2010-11, 2011-12). Franklin Pierce, the two-time reigning NE10 champion, will look to defend its titles next week.

For seedings and matchups in the 2022 NE10 Women's Tennis Championship, please see the full schedule below for dates and times. The NE10 Championship quarterfinals are scheduled for Wednesday, October 19, and will be hosted by Le Moyne and New Haven.

The Penmen will play the winner of the 4-5 matchup between New Haven and Adelphi, while the Ravens will host the winner of the 3-6 matchup between Le Moyne and Saint Anselm.
