NE10 Player of the Week

Kaitlin Brown, Saint Anselm
Junior | Outside Hitter | Glendale, Ariz.

Brown had a solid all-around week for the Hawks, averaging a team-best 3.12 kills/set while hitting .258 on the week against both Assumption and NCAA Division I Stonehill. Producing 2.38 digs per set as well, she posted 12 digs against Assumption before posting 17 kills (matching a career-high) and a .406 attacking percentage against the Skyhawks.

NE10 Libero of the Week

Morgan Schmutzler, Franklin Pierce
Junior | Libero | Lockport, Ill.

Schmutzler appeared in all four sets for the Ravens versus Bridgeport, hitting at least 30 digs for the second match in a row (31) with an average of 7.75 d/s, with three assists and one service ace. Schmutzler, from a defensive standpoint, allowed zero opponent aces while on the court.

NE10 Setter of the Week

Michelle Henwood, Saint Anselm
Senior | Setter | Guaynabo, Puerto Rico

The Hawks posted two four-set victories this past week, doing so over Assumption and most recently against NCAA Division I Stonehill on Friday. She posted 40 assists and five kills against Assumption on Wednesday, while adding 43 assists against the Skyhawks (second-most in a match this season).

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Avery Moore, New Haven
Freshman | Outside Hitter | Zionsville, Ind.

Moore continues to impress in her rookie season, leading the Chargers to a 3-0 sweep of Assumption in the final test before opening NE10 conference play this coming week. Moore finished the lone match of the week with a dozen kills, closing out the battle hitting .385 with just two errors in 26 total attempts. In addition, she added eight digs against the Greyhounds.

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Naomi Eckert Rivera, American Int'l (Jr., S - Toa Baja, Puerto Rico)
Eckert Rivera continued to make plays for AIC in its match against Mercy, setting up 43 assists and also collecting seven digs and two aces for the Yellow Jackets in the 3-1 win. Her 10.45 assists per set is 1.51 more than anyone else in the NE10.

Andrea Serra Rosa, American Int'l (Gr., OH - Toa Alta, Puerto Rico)
Serra Rosa was again a dominating performer for AIC. In the team's lone match on the week, she collected 19 kills to lead the Yellow Jackets past Mercy. She also added nine digs and hit .302.  

Brandi Montoya, Assumption (Jr., DS - Aurora, Col.)
Recorded a career-high 22 digs in their home opener against New Haven. Averaged 5.29 digs per set in two matches this week, increasing her season average of 4.35 (which ranks third in the NE10). 

Ingrid Murphy, Bentley (Sr., OH/DS - Cotuit, Mass.)
In a 3-0 road win at Southern Connecticut State, Murphy made nine kills and also came up with 20 digs, two aces and a block while hitting .200. Her averages in the only match of the week were 3.0 kills, 6.7 digs and 0.7 aces. 

Mariah Robles, Franklin Pierce (Sr., RS - West Covina, Calif.)
In one match started this past week, the Raven senior chalked up a season personal-best 22 points in a victory over Bridgeport, posting a team-high 15 kills with an average of 3.75 k/s. In addition, Robles contributed 9 total blocks (5 solo, 4 assist) for an average of 2.25 b/s, as well as 8 digs (2.00 d/s). 

Georgette Cosentino, Pace (So., S - Scarsdale, N.Y.)
Cosentino was once again the Setters' offensive catalyst across their three matches last week. The sophomore averaged nearly 10 assists per set while also chipping 32 total digs and six blocks. Cosentino was especially impressive when she dished out 51 assists in Pace's 3-1 win over Goldey-Beacom on Saturday. Cosentino currently ranks fourth in the NE10 in assists per set this season.

Cydney Gardner, Pace (Jr., OH - Snellville, Ga.)
Gardner put together one of the best performances of the season in a win over Goldey-Beacom on Saturday. The Georgia native piled up 28 kills in just four sets, while posting a remarkable hitting percentage of .426. She also chipped in four digs and a pair of blocks in the victory.

Valeria Jorge, Saint Rose (Jr., S - Cayey, Puerto Rico)
Jorge recorded 11.14 assists per set (78 total) in a 1-1 week for the Golden Knights. She also tallied 21 digs (3.0 per set), three blocks, and an ace across the week. Jorge was especially strong in Saturday's victory over Roberts Wesleyan with 40 assists,13 digs, and four kills on a .500 swing rate. 

Gabriela Gaibur, So. Connecticut (Sr., OH - Monroe, N.Y.)
Through two games played, Gaibur averaged 3.83 kills per set with 22 kills and 13 digs.
