NE10 Player of the Week

Paola Soto Burgos, American International
Sophomore | Outside Hitter | Coamo, Puerto Rico

Soto Burgos was incredible for AIC in a 3-0 week. She landed 47 kills in 10 sets (4.70/set), hitting .389 in the three matches. She also contributed five aces for the Yellow Jackets.

NE10 Libero of the Week

Caroline Belmontez, Saint Anselm
Senior | Defensive Specialist | San Diego, Calif.

Belmontez aided the Hawks to a 2-0 week with a pair of straight set wins over Saint Michael's and Assumption, totaling 22 digs, good for an average of 3.67 per set. Belmontez posted 13 digs against the Purple Knights before adding nine against the Greyhounds. She also registered four assists and five service aces, good for an average of 0.83 per set.

NE10 Setter of the Week

Naomi Eckert Rivera, American International
Junior | Setter | Toa Baja, Puerto Rico

Eckert Rivera continued to be the centerpiece of both the offense and defense for AIC. She averaged 12.2 assists per set across 10 sets while also leading the team with 36 digs in those three matches.

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Macarty McQueen, Adelphi
Freshman | Outside Hitter | Carmel, Ind.

In a 3-0 week for Adelphi, Mcqueen averaged 2.70 kills and 3.10 digs per set as the team picked up two non-conference wins. She accounted for a double-double in a four-set win over Dominican, with 10 kills and 12 digs and her best hitting percentage of the week at .450. She also added four service aces through three matches.

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Samantha Collins, Adelphi (Sr, MB - Levittown, N.Y.)
In a perfect week for Adlephi, Collins put up 1.00 blocks per set and posted 2.70 kills per frame with a .500 hitting percentage. Through three matches she totaled 27 kills and was responsible for nine block assists.

Brenna Valsted, Adelphi (Sr., S - Louisville, Kent.)
Adelphi's offense was paced by Brenna Valsted in a 3-0 week as she accounted for 89 assists (9.89 per set) while averaging 2.00 kills in each set to boot. Through three matches she was responsible for 18 kills and 17 digs. 

Perla Rosa, American International (Fr., DS - Weston, Fla.)
Rosa continued to be key for AIC in a 3-0 week as she contributed 3.4 digs per set across 10 sets for the Yellow Jackets. She added 16 assists and was 95.4 percent in serve-receive, making the first pass successfully 62 of 65 times.

Ingrid Murphy, Bentley (Sr., OH/DS - Cotuit, Mass.)
In a pair of non-conference victories that extended Bentley's winning streak to eight, Murphy hit .341 and averaged 3.67 kills, 3.33 digs and 4.0 points. Her totals in six sets included 22 kills, 20 digs, 24 points, two blocks and an ace. Murphy had 14 kills, a .385 hitting percentage and 12 points against Bridgeport, and eight kills, eight digs, two blocks and an ace against Mercy. In addition, she had a .943 reception percentage for the week. 

Georgette Cosentino, Pace (So., S - Scarsdale, N.Y.)
Cosentino was once again Pace's top passer during the Setters' 1-1 week. The sophomore dished out 82 total assists across seven sets of action, while also recording 13 digs, four blocks and a pair of assists. Cosentino is currently ranked third in the NE10 in assists per set (8.97) this season.

Brielle Jones, Pace (Sr., OH - Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.)
Jones was sensational during the Setters' 1-1 stretch last week. The Florida native piled up 29 kills across seven sets while posting a .227 hitting percentage. She also registered 23 total digs, including a season-high 18 against Wilmington.

Michelle Henwood, Saint Anselm (Sr., S - Guaynabo, Puerto Rico)
Henwood threw up 33 assists for the Hawks in the one match she played in, in a 2-0 week for Saint Anselm. Henwood added three kills, one service ace, and an assisted block in a 3-0 win over Saint Michael's.

Julia Calvacanti, Saint Rose (So., MB - Vineyard, Utah)
Cavalcanti helped Saint Rose to straight-set wins over D'Youville and Alliance University this week with 18 kills on a .433 average, six blocks, and three aces.

Gabriela Gaibur, Southern Conn. St. (Sr., OH - Monroe, N.Y.)
Played in every set for the Owls and averaged 4.45 digs per set for 49 total digs, and added 20 kills, three blocks and two service aces.
