NE10 Player of the Week

Andrea Serra Rosa, American International
Graduate | Outside Hitter | Toa Alta, Puerto Rico

Serra Rosa was her usual dominant self in a 3-0 week for AIC, piling up 49 kills in 10 sets (4.90/set) and hitting .453. She also accumulated 22 digs in the three matches.

NE10 Libero of the Week

Deanne Wilson, Southern New Hampshire
Sophomore | Libero | Buffalo, N.Y.

Wilson recorded 57 digs (5.70 d/s) and a pair of aces (0.20 sa/s) during a 2-1 week for the Penmen. Wilson tallied 15 digs and two aces in the 3-0 win over Saint Anselm on Wednesday, collected a match-high 22 digs in Saturday's 3-0 loss at Adelphi and racked up 20 more digs in the 3-1 victory at Pace on Sunday.

NE10 Setter of the Week

Brenna Valsted, Adelphi
Senior | Setter | Louisville, Kent.

Valsted closed out the month of October on a high note with 11.10 assists, 3.50 digs and 1.60 kills per set in the 3-0 week for Adelphi volleyball. She recorded double-doubles in all three games, with a new season high 48 assists in a four set win at New Haven, while almost reaching a triple double as she added seven kills. 

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Macarty McQueen, Adelphi
Freshman | Outside Hitter | Carmel, Ind.

McQueen was responsible for 3.40 kills and 3.80 digs per set in a perfect week for Adelphi as they capped a spotless October. She led the team in kills against Franklin Pierce and Southern New Hampshire while also accounting for double-doubles. For the week she also recorded six service aces.

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll  

Lilyen McCarthy, Adelphi (So., MB - Mackinaw, Ill.)
Adelphi went 3-0 this week with the help of McCarthy, who was responsible for 3.00 kills and 1.10 blocks per set. She notched double-digit kills in two of the three matches, and nearly collected a double double with 11 kills and 8 digs in a win over So. New Hampshire. Her hitting percentage for the week was .382 as she committed a single error on 76 attempts. She totaled 12 blocks for the week with four block assists against the Penmen.

Jamie Yonker, Adelphi (Sr., DS - Old Bethpage, N.Y.)
Yonker totaled 46 digs in a 3-0 week for Adelphi, averaging 4.60 per set. In addition she was also responsible for 1.30 assists per set after adding 13. In. Friday win over Franklin Pierce, the grad student notched her 1,000th career dig for the Panthers.

Naomi Eckert Rivera, American International (Sr., S - Toa Baja, Puerto Rico)
Eckert Rivera kept up her strong play, gathering 107 assists in 10 sets along with 24 digs and four blocks. She leads the conference in assists per set at over 10.5 -- the only player in the NE10 with more than 10 per set.

Ellie Wheeler, Bentley (Jr., OH/RS - Olathe, Kan.)
During a 3-0 week that included the program's 20th win of the season and 900th in program history, Wheeler hit an impressive .452 while averaging 3.67 kills, 0.89 digs, 0.33 blocks, 0.33 aces and 4.17 points. She had 12 kills and a .667 hitting percentage at Assumption, 14 and a .387 at Saint Rose and 7 and .375 at Le Moyne. During the week, she made only five hitting errors in 62 swings. 

Morgan Schmutzler, Franklin Pierce (Jr., L - Lockport, Ill.)
In three starts over the past week, the Raven junior libero totaled 57 digs while averaging 5.18 digs per set including a 26 dig performance versus Pace on Saturday afternoon. Offensively, Schmutzler snuck in four assists.

Macy Brown, New Haven (So., OH - Cadilac, Mich.)
Brown led the Chargers in a 1-1 week on the court, racking up 32 kills combined across the two matches. She opened up the week with 15 kills and 18 digs in a four-set match against Adelphi and followed that up with 17 kills and an other 18 digs, for her fourth-straight double double, in a four-set win over crosstown rival Southern Connecticut. She also added four assists and three aces against the Owls.

Jamie Bittiger, Pace (Sr., DS - Saylorsburg, Pa.)
Averaged 4.46 digs per set in a 1-2 week for Pace. She recorded 19 digs, two kills, nine assists and three aces in a win over Le Moyne, 24 digs in a five-set loss to Franklin Pierce and 15 digs in a four-set loss to SNHU. 

Jessica Vargas, Saint Rose (Jr., OH - Phoenix, Ariz.)
Vargas totaled 32 kills (4.00 per set),15 digs, and two blocks across the Golden Knights two matches this week, including a career-best effort of 21 kills on Tuesday at Southern Connecticut State.

Heliceliz Rivera, Southern Conn. St. (Gr., RS - Corozal, Puerto Rico)
In a thrilled five-set win against Saint Rose, Rivera recorded her second triple-double of the season with 13 kills, 16 assists, and 10 digs. Rivera had a triple-double on Sept. 10 against Queens, where she grabbed 12 kills, 13 assists, and 10 digs. It was the seventh triple-double in program history. The last time someone had two triple-doubles in a season was Nicole Hauser in 2013.

Sara Montefameglio, Southern N.H. (Gr., S - Turin, Italy)
Montefameglio amassed 88 assists (8.80 a/s), three aces (0.30 sa/s), 22 digs (2.20 d/s) and five blocks (0.50 b/s) during a 2-1 week for the Penmen. Montefameglio was eased back in after missing four matches and came off the bench in Wednesday's three-set win over Saint Anselm to register 18 assists and five digs. She returned to the starting lineup in Saturday's three-set loss at Adelphi with 24 helpers, an ace and 10 digs, before producing 46 assists, two aces, seven digs and five blocks in Sunday's 3-1 victory at Pace. 

Ana Pimenta, Southern N.H. (Jr., OH - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil)
Pimenta tallied 36 kills (3.60 k/s), 33 digs (3.30 d/s) and 10 blocks (1.0 b/s) during a 2-1 week for the Penmen. Pimenta posted 13 kills, 11 digs and a block in a 3-0 blanking of cross-town rival Saint Anselm on Wednesday, added 10 kills, 12 digs and a pair of blocks in a 3-0 loss at Adelphi on Saturday, before capping the week with 13 kills, 10 digs and a career-high six blocks in a 3-1 triumph at Pace on Sunday.
