Nick Levesque

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

First Elite 24 Award for Post.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Despite no formal season of competition, Post's Nick Levesque has earned the Northeast-10 Conference's Elite 24 Award in the sport of ice hockey, posting the highest grade-point average among all student-athletes within his sport.

The Elite 24 Award recognizes the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA participating at the finals site at each NE10 Championship. No fall or winter championships were held in 2020-21, but the Elite 24 winners have been determined by comparing the GPA of all NE10 student-athletes on a sport-by-sport basis.

It is the first Elite 24 honor for a Post student-athlete since the university became an NE10 associate member in ice hockey prior to the 2019-20 season.

Levesque, a senior goaltender, recorded a perfect 4.0 GPA in biology on his way to securing the Elite 24. During the 2019-20 season, Levesque appeared in two games for the Eagles, including one start, in their inaugural season in the NE10. He posted an .840 save percentage in over 70 minutes between the pipes. Off the ice, Levesque has been selected to the NE10 Academic Honor Roll in each of the past three semesters.

The league office will recognize Elite 24 Award winners for the remaining winter sports this week. For fall and winter winners, please see below.
