NE10 Player of the Week

Jack Murphy, Saint Anselm
Senior | Defense | Marshfield, Mass.

Murphy netted three goals and assisted on two others for five points in a 2-0-1 week for the Hawks. The senior co-alternate captain netted his first goal of the season in the Saint Anselm 1-1 tie against Franklin Pierce on Jan. 31 before recording one assist against Saint Michael's on Feb. 3. Murphy went for three points on two goals and one assist the following day against the Purple Knights. Murphy scored the Hawks overtime game winner, giving Saint Anselm a 4-3 win on Senior Day. For the week, Murphy recorded a plus-two on-ice rating and put four shots on goal. 

NE10 Goaltender of the Week

Nick Howard, Saint Anselm
Senior | Goaltender | Burlington, Mass.

The senior goaltender posted 90 saves across three starts for the Hawks, posting a 2-0-1 record on the week. Howard owned a 1.30 goals-against average and a 0.957 save percentage on the week. Howard stopped 33 shots in a 1-1 tie against Franklin Pierce before posting a 26-save shutout on Feb. 3 against Saint Michael's. The senior made 31 stops in a Senior Day overtime win over the Purple Knights on Saturday. 

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Brendan Lynch, Southern New Hampshire
Freshman | Forward | Nepean, Ontario

Lynch had a pair of goals in Friday's 8-4 win over Franklin Pierce. He also had an assist in both games against the Ravens, giving him four total points for the weekend. Lynch is now second on the Penmen in scoring for the season with 16 points (4 goals, 12 assists).

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll 

Drew Benedict, Assumption (Gr., G - Cooper City, Fla.)
Benedict allowed one goal in 65 minutes against Post on Friday. He posted a 0.92 goals-against average and a .957 save percentage.

Colin Philippon, Assumption (Sr., F - Salem, N.H.)
Philippon powered the Greyhounds' offense in their 5-2 win over Post on Saturday. The left winger assisted on the second Assumption goal in the final minute of the first period before scoring the game-winning goal in the waning moments of the second period. Philippon went on to add another goal and assist in the third period, as the Greyhounds went on to extend their unbeaten streak to four games.

Trevor Lawler, Franklin Pierce (Jr., F - East Bridgewater, Mass.)
Lawler scored one goal and added three assists for four points in three games played for Franklin Pierce last week. Of his weekly totals, Lawler had a a solid offensive showing against Southern New Hampshire with three of his four points (1G, 2A), and finished the week with 14 total shots on goal and +2 rating.

Nathan Loisel, Southern N.H. (Fr., G - Saint-Laurent, Quebec)
Loisel picked up his first two career wins in the net as SNHU swept Franklin Pierce over the weekend. Loisel followed up his first win Friday with a 4-0 shutout on Saturday at The Ice Den Arena. He made 36 saves in that second game. 

George Thurston, Southern N.H. (Sr., F - Plymouth, Mass.)
Thurston tallied three goals and added an assist in SNHU's weekend sweep of Franklin Pierce. He scored twice on Friday and added another goal on Saturday. Saturday's goal gives Thurston nine power-play goals, tops in the Northeast-10. He leads the Penmen in scoring - 21 points (12 goals, 9 assists).
