Northeast-10 Co-Players of the Week
Luke McDonough, Assumption (Jr., F, Norfolk, MA) - Scored three
goals, two in the third period and the overtime winner, and
registered an assist in a win over Framingham State in the UBS
Classic.
Brendan O'Brien, Stonehill (So., F, Braintree, MA) – Netted
a goal and four assists for five points in a 1-1 week, including a
goal and a pair of helpers in a 7-3 win over Suffolk and two
assists in a 3-2 setback at Salve Regina.
Northeast-10 Goaltender of the Week
Josh Green, Stonehill (Sr., G, Mendon, MA) – In his only
game in net this week, made 18 saves to pick up a victory in a 7-3
triumph over Suffolk.
Northeast-10 Co-Freshmen of the Week
Joe McCarthy, Franklin Pierce (Fr., F, Boston, MA) - Posted a goal
in a 2-2 draw with Wentworth Institute of Technology.
Pete Roundy, Stonehill (Fr., F, Simsbury, CT) - Netted a pair of
assists in a 7-3 win over Suffolk.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Frank Bova, Assumption (So., F, Princeton, MA) - Had three points
(2 G, A) in a 1-1 week. Scored a game-tying goal with 24 seconds
remaining in regulation against Fitchburg State. Registered a goal
and an assist in an overtime win over Framingham State in the UBS
Classic.
Jon Routhier, Assumption (Jr., F, Malden, MA) - Tallied three
points (2 G, A) in a 1-1 week. Scored a first goal versus Fitchburg
State. Recorded a goal and an assist in an overtime win over
Framingham State in the UBS Classic.
Dan Surette, Assumption (Sr., D, Woburn, MA) - Scored a power play
goal and added four assists (five points), including assisting on
the game-winning goal, in an overtime win over Framingham State in
the UBS Classic.
Specner Utman, Franklin Pierce (Jr., G, Brockville, Ontario) - In
a 0-1-1 week, Utmass averaged 38 saves per game in net. He totaled
a season high 39 in a 2-2 draw with Wentworth and posted 37 in a
set back to Curry.
Dave Carroll, Southern New Hampshire (So., D, Arlington, MA) -
Totaled a goal and an assist in a season-opening 7-4 victory over
Johnson & Wales. Scored the game-winning goal and assisted on a
goal with 3:44 left to play.
Dominic DiMarzo, Southern New Hampshire (Jr., F, East Boston, MA)
- Scored two short handed goals in a season-opening 7-4 victory
over Johnson & Wales. His second goal with 3:44 to play gave
the Penmen a 6-4 lead.
Matt Curran, Stonehill (Jr., F, Scarborough, ME) - Netted three
goals in a 1-1 week, including a pair of markers in a 3-2 setback
at Salve Regina and a single tally in a 7-3 win over Suffolk.
Weekly Notes: ASSUMPTION: Jamie DiGiulio (Fr., G,
Peabody, MA) recorded his first collegiate win, coming off the
bench, making 14 saves (9 in the third period) in an overtime
victory over Framingham State in the UBS Classic.
