Le Moyne Earns Top Seed in Upcoming Men’s Lacrosse Championship

South Easton, Mass. – The Le Moyne College Dolphins claimed the top seed in the upcoming Northeast-10 Men’s Lacrosse Championship.

The Dolphins finished conference play undefeated with a 9-0 record to claim the team’s ninth Northeast-10 Regular Season Title in ten years. Le Moyne, currently undefeated with a 13-0 overall record, won seven of the last eight Northeast-10 Championship Titles.

Merrimack College (13-1, 8-1 NE-10) claimed the second seed in the championship. The Warriors only blemish this year came against Le Moyne earlier this month. Both teams will receive quarterfinal byes and host a semifinal contest on Friday, May 1.

Bentley University (8-3, 7-2 NE-10) received the third seed in the championship, while Saint Michael’s College (7-6, 5-4 NE-10) secured the fourth seed over Saint Anselm College (7-6, 5-4 NE-10) due to the Purple Knights regular season win over the Hawks. Southern New Hampshire University (4-9, 4-5 NE-10) rounds out the tournament field as the sixth seed.

The quarterfinals begin on Tuesday, April 28 with #5 Saint Anselm traveling to #4 Saint Michael’s, while #6 Southern New Hampshire is at #3 Bentley. Quarterfinal times are still to be determined.

The semifinal round will begin on Friday, May 1 with the winner of Saint Anselm/Saint Michael’s traveling to face #1 Le Moyne and the winner of Southern New Hampshire/Bentley will be at #2 Merrimack.

The championship game will take place at 12 p.m. on Sunday, May 3 between the two semifinal winners at the highest remaining seed.
