SMITHFIELD, RI - Already established as one of the top track & field athletes at Bryant and perhaps in the Northeast-10 Conference, HAFIZ GREIGRE (Attleboro, Mass.) has also found success in the classroom. Named to the Northeast-10 Conference Academic Honor Roll last week, Greigre was named today to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) Division II Men's All-Academic Track & Field team. Greigre, the holder of 10 Bryant indoor and outdoor school records, won both the men's 100 and 200 meter dash conference titles this past year and was named the NE-10 Male Track Athlete of the Year. During last year's indoor championships, Greigre qualified for the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships in the 200 meters with one of the top times in the nation in the event.

A management major at Bryant, Greigre is a 2003 graduate of Attleboro High School.

The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) honors individuals and teams for their academic and athletic accomplishments during the indoor and outdoor track seasons.

To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track & Field Team, an individual athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher and must have met the NCAA Division II national qualifying standard in his event.
